You never truly appreciate someone until they are not around. I recently moved away, but over the last couple years I was seeing Andrea a few times a month for a deep tissue massage. Every massage I had with her (close to 50) was amazing. Even if she focused on one area for most of the massage, she made the timing work to ensure I still got a full body massage. She always asked about pressure, and wiped excess oil away with a nice hot towel. Her expertise grew over the time I saw her and I truly miss coming to her for massages. I have moved away from the Red Deer area, but if I am ever there again, I’ll make sure to see her. I highly recommend her for massages. Thank you for the excellent massages and customer service the last couple years.

I came from Edmonton with the Lipstick Empire team and I am just so amazed! The space is so beautiful and luxurious, I felt so pampered. The steam was so wonderful and was such a great start to the day. I can’t remember my massage therapists name but it was the best massage I’ve ever received. Madison did my facial and it was incredible! She gave the most amazing scalp massage. I will definitely be back and will be telling everyone about your place!

I went back today for a mani that I booked prior to the not so great pedi….
And, I’m VERY pleased to say that the service was back to the usual fantastic!!!

Yes, my previous service was not a positive experience, and I was contacted by the manager shortly after posting my initial review. She was professional, took the time listen to what I was unhappy with, and was understanding. I felt heard and that she and the staff wanted me to have a better experience.
Mani today was great! I am so pleased!

Totally Refreshed Spa is my go-to for pedicures. I enjoy the atmosphere and have always had a great service…..until yesterday
I had an appt at 245 and when I booked I did not choose an aesthetician, I allowed the system to choose for me. Sadly, this time this was a mistake. I know that the spa will be able to see who was providing my pedi, I will not call her out here.

She was polite, kind of. Didn’t offer to take my coat. Didn’t give me any tips about how to use the remotes for the chair. Coughed and blew her nose through the entire service, (blamed it on allergies/asthma) no sign of any hand sani either, glad she was working on my feet. Messed around with her glasses the majority of the time, and seemed to not be familiar with the cart of supplies she had. Did not give me the sense that she knew what she was doing. Foreboding perhaps? So it seems.

When she asked how short I like my nails I said that they could use a small trim. They are SO short! Short enough that when she was filing it was uncomfortable. I had to ask her to file a few nails so they weren’t shaped to a point, and she never once asked me if I was ok with the shape or length. They are all quite uneven.
Then she got out this electric dremel thing (have never had that used on my feet before). I questioned her and she said that they are required to provide their own supplies and that she had 15+ years of experience with it. Ok, not the answer I was expecting…..
My feet are very sensitive, I can barely tolerate the paddle thing used for any calluses and I certainly did not enjoy the dremel! I could hardly sit still, pretty sure the other customers thought I was being ridiculous. I thought perhaps she would put it away and use the paddle, nope. Same thing on both feet!
She was not gentle with the clipper for cuticles, again I jumped a few times, which barely registered with her.

Polish application is quite frankly terrible. I would have been able to do a better job at home, and what I would expect from a student not someone that told me about her 15 years of experience. There is polish on the skin around my toes and at the tips of my toes because guess what?They’re TOO SHORT!
The massage was just meh.
She offered me the paraffin wax treatment, which I generally do, but not this time. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
This is such a departure for Totally Refreshed Spa. I sincerely hope it is a one off experience.
In the future I will be wiser, no random selection of aesthetician assigned again.

Amy is the best esthetician, kind and friendly and really cares about her clients. I've gone to her for many years and continue to return because she's awesome!

Got the aromatherapy steam bath. You can control steam level, have cold showers, and listen to music if you desire. The staff were nice and informative. Felt like I got my money's worth, and then some.

Had a message today by Rose. She was incredibly friendly, courteous and professional and the deep tissue massage was amazing. I will absolutely book with her again!

Booked an online appointment, for the wrong day! Haha! She kindly informed me of my error and rebooked me for tomorrow!

Haha that experience was a few years ago. Went back today for a pedicure and quite enjoyed our visit.

We got gel polish pedicures, without the parafin wax treatment. It was good and I appreciate being able to support local.

I had a massage and steam- it was so great, my only complaint is that my package was supposed to come with a towel to dry off after the steam and didn’t notice that all they left me with was a face towel….better than nothing I guess! I will still book again but I will be more prepared next time.

First time visiting the spa (south branch) the staff were super friendly and considerate of my request in keeping me in a private area while cutting my hair, i am a muslim and wear hijab they made every effort into making me feel welcome and comfortable they put barriers and closed the doors making sure it was only females! Thank you Ariyanna for an amazing hair trim she’s an expert at what she does and i cant wait to be back! I also got a PCA face peel with Amy; she was knowledgeable and professional i was truly relaxed and enjoyed my spa time thanks to her.

This was my first time here and my goodness, I LOVED IT!!! I went in for a manicure and pedicure. It was so relaxing and clean, I loved the environment. MELISSA went above and beyond for me, and I absolutely love my nails 💅🏼 the wax treatment afterwards left my hand and feet so very soft 💖 I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Melissa, for everything!

I am so pleased with the service here. My husband booked an appointment for me, and the front desk staff Vanessa and my esthetician Madeline were amazing.

The facility is clean and beautifully decorated. There are options for the lotion scents, and all of them sounded wonderful. I chose apricot brandy and was NOT disappointed!

Chantell is my waxing/tinting godsend. It took me a long while to find someone who could get my brows to where they need to be - she's also so sweet and efficient at what she does. I enjoy our conversations about our love for our own doggos!

Everyone is always so awesome (miss Rhonda - you're the best) and kind and the spa has come a long way from 10 years ago.

Totally Refresh is like a little gem hiding on the north side of Red Deer. I was totally blow away with this facility. From the front desk, to the Steam room, to my reflexology massage, which was super amazing, to all their selection of teas❗❗❗ I just love the place, and I am going back there for sure, and I recommend this place 💯 Kudos to all the employees over there. You rock girls.🌟

Fabulous place to go and get a massage, beautiful rooms, instantly make you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. Josie is an amazing massage therapist, every massage is incredible. She is very professional and super friendly!! Love it there!!

I've been looking for a good place for massages in Red Deer for a while. Andrea was amazing! She did a fantastic job and I'm already feeling a difference and preparing to rebook. Definitely recommend coming here and already telling others. Great company, friendly staff all around. 👌 👏 😌

Went there for the steam and the staff were so friendly. Experience was so relaxing and enjoyable

First time going there and was not disappointed. Customer service is phenomenal and prices are very decent. I went to the south location and this is now my go-to day spa. The 90 minute drive down there is so worth it.
