Great experience. I enjoyed going. The kids liked it as well. Definitely will come again and do a better tour. We showed up in the afternoon not long before closing so we had to rush. Pretty cool place. Entry is by donations so no tickets.

Fantastic experience 👏. Because we had never been before, we got a guided tour.

This is such a great place to go if you want to really see how things looked in the past! The whole museum is well-maintained and easy to navigate. My kids had a great time checking things out, even though they're still a little too young to truly appreciate the experience of "stepping into the past". We will definitely go back a lot in the future!

Went out there today for the first time, and found it very good. The people that volunteer there are great, Mike the lamp guy knows everything about lamps, and loves to share his knowledge. Just above Mike on the second floor is a model train display, once again the volunteers were great, they spent half an hour explaining how the display was put together and how it worked.

A really lovely spot to walk around in the afternoon! The volunteers onsite are great to talk to and very knowledgeable. There's lots of interesting historical pieces and homes that you can take your time walking around and examining without being hurried along

First time going and the Halloween event was great bonus for the kids to get out and learn a little history. Highly considering making it a yearly family trip. If it was up to my wife there would be no considering it, it be a done deal. 🙂

My group Sew there once a week and we all have taken in many events hosted there. The guided tour is good but it also nice to do a self guided tour.

We've been to the museum a few times - once in the summer; during the harvest festival in September and most recently during the March lecture series. It's a wonderful museum! Well kept, interesting and the staff are well informed and friendly. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, very clean and well organized. Admission by donation, grounds well maintained information on buildings and artifacts is available, and well done, not overly detailed. Enjoyable atmosphere.

An absolute must. Like a mini Fort Edmonton Park almost. So much history, fantastic photo ops. Go on Friday and Saturdays during the summer to the Tea House for lunch- fresh soup and sandwiches and pie in a charming log house. Visit FB for their weekly menu.

Such a gem just 20 minutes west of Edmonton! All buildings and artefacts are lovingly preserved and maintained, and the volunteers who work there are pleasant and knowledgeable, and really care about what they do. Next time our plan is to visit their Tea House.
This is a perfect place to learn about life in rural Alberta in the pioneer times and see the actual old buildings and farm equipment.

The volunteers were so excited to be able to tell you everything about the history of the park.
Entrance is by donation only, and a handsome donation would be well received and spent wisely.

I've been here with school field trips as well as in a professional capacity to photograph weddings. It has been a great experience on all occasions. The volunteers are always incredibly courteous and helpful and everything is beautifully maintained.

I absolutely love this Museum. The different areas of the grounds are very time period specific. All the people that work at the museum at volunteers and are passionate about what they do. From donations to restorations and displays. This is a "MUST" go see place. You will not be disappointed.

Very helpful knowledgeable volunteer.
The admission is free but donation is recommended.
A fair size, similar to Fort Edmonton Park but much quieter. No costumed volunteers.
Highly recommended for school kids.

I very much enjoyed the Pioneer Museum, from the displays to the tea room. The displays are well presented, informative and creative. The grounds are well-kept and the flowers beautifully arranged and kept. The whole experience was a nostalgia trip to say the least. The people of Stony Plain can be very proud of this museum and the volunteers who do such a wonderful job.
