We went here a few years back with kids jn tow and it was delightful. Stunning view. Lovely path to the beach. I recommended to friends and they also loved it. Simple but perfect amenities. Highly recommend. We are back this year with no kids (all grown) but will stay a night on the way to Sydney ferry. Dog friendly also.

During our three week trip with RV in Nova Scotia this was one of the best campgrounds. We had site 86 with power, water and dumping and had a view on the ocean. Lots if free space to play. Quiet. Beautiful beach with little people and clear water is 200m away. If you can bring your own wood instead of paying 5 dollar for some sticks (like everywhere in NS).
I met Mr MacLeod in person when I arrived and he was very friendly and open.
There also is a playground for kids and a small shop.

Huge RV and camping site. We tried to book last min calling in and we were not successful. So we decided to go in person and we’re able to get a nice spot close to the dandy beach. I hope to com back in the future to enjoy the beach.

I've come back to this place time and time again since I was young. It's only got better with time. Friendly neighbors when you walk around, staff is fantasic and the views are breathtaking. The town of Inverness is only a short drive away with a brewery, famous golf courses, great restaurants and beaches as far as you can see. Highly recommend you try this place for your camping needs !

We go here every single year numerous times, and I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. I worship this campsite. It's amazing. They sell candy at the building up front, and it's the best candy with the best prices. VERY NICE SUNSETS, my mother is always getting me to go to unbelievable lengths to get a nice picture, while she sits on the beach in a daze saying this is paradise, and I'm start to believe it also (I have been brainwashed please send help).
good camping 🏕👌 would recommend.

Cute.

Excellent campground. We stayed in a tent for 2 nights. Our campsite was a decent size, and came with a picnic table. The washroom facilities had showers, sinks, toilets, but the women's washroom was apparently dirty. Just a minute walk away from an excellent beach with lovely warm water. Would highly recommend.

What are previous reviewers thinking? Very fair pricing for where you are. You are overlooking a very large beach with mountain views -just look at these photos! Plus remember Canada has higher taxes than US.
Staff was very nice and offered places to go, things to do, etc.
There are a number on seasonals, so there will be neighbors on both sides. All are cordial and friendly.
Centrally located to food, Cabot trail, etc.
Washrooms are clean, water has good pressure and is hot. Showers are free.
All of the campers/RV's are found together with no separation, but there is plenty on grassy areas to walk in addition to a large beach.
Watch out: the last 2-3 miles are gravel into the campground. You may wish to disconnect any tow vehicle before the turn. The road is well maintained for gravel, but your car will get filthy.
Love this place-a gem.

Really nice experience. Says quiet time at 11pm, but some older gentleman named Gary hunted us down at 3pm in the afternoon and said the rule of thumb is that if you can hear the music from the road 2 meters from the campsite, then it's too loud. So not really sure if quiet time is at 3pm or 11 lol. Best scenery on cape breton island

Beautiful camping spots with scenic views! Spectacular beach and close to town. Definitely if tenting watch for high winds near the beach view campsites. Would definitely recommend this camping site

Loved this place! Stayed at a bunch of campsites around the Cabot Trail, this one was by far the nicest and where the showers and washrooms were the cleanest. We were here during low season (september) so that helped to get a nice campsite and some privacy. The beach is spectacular. Would absolutely come back. Beware, they are very strict on the 10km per hour rule!

Enormous grounds that host a wide range of views and a beach. Nice clean bathrooms with shower stalls inside the same building and room as gendered washrooms (tons of stalls for toilets too) which makes it really nice to wait if there's a line because you can just do all your bathroom/sink related things inside. Really nice staff too. Great location to boot-- route 19 brewery and robins donuts only a few minutes drive away and right next to the start of the Cabot trail!

They have constructed a new, just opened (July 2018) two new tiers of camp sites with an amazing view of the ocean. Sites are comfortable size and the setting in the ocean is amazing. Be sure to take the gravel road to Inverness instead of the highway for a special experience.

Next to the skyline trail, this place has got to have some of the best views available. Little trail behind our site takes you up the cliffs. Saw whales in the morning breaching from up there! Amazing.

This place is magical. The ocean is tropical in temperature. On a perfect night go swimming to see bioluminescence light up around you or get to the bluff for sunrise or sunset for breathtaking views. One of a kind.
