Went here with a group of friends based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Definitely a new favorite. In the past year our group has gone to Harth, Hermanos, Peasant Cookery as well as Deer and Almond. Out of all the places we all agreed, this was our favorite.
I was excited that they had duck on the menu which is a rare find and they didnt dissappoint with a large portion and tasty glaze. Additionally, they had a true top shelf bourbon in Rabit Hole which is also not common.
A shout out to our server who was excellent in everyway you could want a server to be.
We will definately be back.

Highly recommend this lovely restaurant. The service was exceptional. My daughter just turned 18 and wanted to try alcoholic drinks. She got special attention and her drink recipe was amended to be tasty and easygoing. Love the mushrooms, the prairie landscape paintings and everything.

We came for our first visit to Fusion Grill tonight and were not disappointed! It was an extremely cold night but when you walked it in felt warm cozy and inviting .. even the beautiful local paintings on the wall were amazing! The service was awesome.. and the food! Wow! I can’t believe we haven’t been to this Gem yet! We will be back again as there are so many things we would like to try! The Truffle Perogies were probably one of the best things we have ever had! Ever! Well done! Elevated local Manitoba spirit in every part of this experience! Thank you!

Went last night for a family dinner. The food was amazing, they clearly use very fresh ingredients. Our server was absolutely amazing, I’m so sorry I didn’t get his name. I went to the bathroom right as my appetizer came out and when I came back he had put a little hot plate over it to keep it warm. So impressed with his level of service. He was also very knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings. Highly recommend going here, our family from out of town was very impressed. We also really love their emphasis on local ingredients.

Fantastic service from our attendant Rawle. He was professional and added extra touch with his recommendation and care. The food was great as well, with a very selective menu, but good choices. But the overall experience was something to note with and I would highly recommend to visit them.

Unbelievably tasty boutique restaurant on Academy! So tasty I went twice last week. I had the pickerel cheeks, the bison steak and apple crumble. For me to leave a restaurant full is rare but that's because a lot of food these days is filled with preservatives. This is REAL FOOD so it fills you up. The tastes are unbelievably fresh.

I've never had Juniper slaw before and now that I have, I wish it was this instead of Frank's that was on everything.

Cooked to perfection, great ambience, helpful and wonderful staff. I'll be back many times over.

My boyfriend and I had our one year anniversary here. Very good food and service. Pretty fast service considering it is fine dining. Really enjoyed my experience. Will definitely go back!

One of winnipegs best options for dining out. Great place to go to try some of the fine foods Manitoba has to offer. The owner is usually there and is always friendly. Service is always great and atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend trying this spot out

This restaurant was between a 4-5 but I ultimately gave them a 5.

The food was solid. I did not come out with anything that I felt I must return for.
Normally that is a 4.

I gave a 5 because of how accommodating they are and with the hopes that their dinner menu would hold something more to my liking. I saw a number of items that caught my eye but was not allowed to order as it was lunch. Normally I would wait to return to up my star rating, but I was happy with how considerate they were to my vegan friend. I feel like if you had an issue they will address it
They had a vegan creme brule dessert which was very good. They decorated their desserts with edible flowers.
I would have liked to have the explanation as to why we couldn't order from the dinner menu. We were told it was not available with no reason behind it.

This is an Established restaurant that has been there for 23 years. My first memory of a visit was in 2006 when I visited all the restaurants in the back of the ciao magazine.
The outside looks a bit plain and non descript.
It is a nice space on the inside.
Service was polite.
I do feel I need to return to make sure this star rating is correct.

Parking looked like Street parking. I did not notice a lot.

My wife and I just celebrated Valentine's Day at Fusion grill (once again!). We love coming to Fusion for any occasion. The food is always top notch, Scott and his staff are incredibly nice, experienced, and attentive, and the drinks pair so well with the meals. Very easy to make reservations and there is always great music. We've always felt very valued coming here, and it seems that that is likely a shared feeling from other customers we've talked to as well. Whatever your reason, I would highly recommend Fusion for your next outing!

Our favs are the truffle perogies, pickerel, and the apple crumble.

Our Server was fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable.

The food... Amazing. Not often I find a place where I can, and want to try literally everything on it.

Duck Confit was super good. Fell off the bone.

Will definitely have to come back for the perogies and the Char and.... lol

One of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time. Everything we had from the menu was consistently delicious. We started with the Northern Manitoba bruschetta with wild foraged & cultured mushrooms, fresh herbs, grilled focaccia, goat's cheese, truffle oil & white wine cream, then Caesar salad with romaine, creamy roast garlic anchovy emulsion, spiced croutons & asiago cheese. Our entrees were the Grilled Manitoba bison saddled with a blue cheese compound butter, balsamic plum gastrique, popped wild rice potato gratin & seasonable vegetables, and Ice caught pickerel with ricotta stuffed ravioli & wild mushroom whisky cream. For dessert we had Boreal Forest Cake with Bernard Callebaut dark chocolate, freshly whipped, Saskatoon berry compote and Baked cheesecake with Chaeban mascarpone cheese topped with a changing variety of local organic preparations. Both the food and service were incredible. We will definitely be back!

An unassuming almost casual venue (steel chairs!) but elevated by classy linen and Spiegelau stemware all around. The dishes will come perfectly plated (see pictures). A nice touch is the staff keeping cutlery fresh between courses.

Note: We ordered vegetarian.

Starter: Black Bean Cake Winkler Tostada. I was looking for the creme fraiche and Oka cheese to balance the strong bean flavors.

Next: In-house made Gnocchi. Chef absolutely nailed this one. As good as gnocchi can be. ++ Order this.

Wait: Warkentin Tomato Salad. Perfectly fresh as you would expect in August. The Avocado Tempura with it was a surprise. A pleasant one.

Then: Paella. It's tough to do a vegetarian take on such a meat centric dish. Good job here and no criticisms, I think we would choose differently next time.

Final: Coconut Crème Brulée. Very nicely done. Fairly light and balanced with the Honey Waffle (which I think was shortbread).

Overall a high end Winnipeg cuisine. Pleasant unhurried service.Wide wine list of mostly Canadian sources. Deserving of their 5 stars and another visit.

First time trying this restaurant and did so as takeout. The food was incredible! I had the gnocchi and the flavours all worked so well together. When I am in town again I will definitely try something else from here. Highly recommend!!
