Injured myself a local BJJ tournament in Creston. Friendly and efficient staff.. from the lady who greeted me at the emergency front entrance, to the nurse who took my blood pressure and gave me a painkiller.. Doctor was kind and had a good sense of humor. X-ray technician was also kind and very efficient. Hopefully I’ll never be here again… But if it were the case, I feel like I’d be in good hands. Thank you!🙏

I lived in Creston for 3 years, (2018-2021) with my Husband and had great experiences in the ER, (as we didn't have a Family Doctor for the first 1.5 years of living there). Every single ER Doctor we had were kind and understanding, and helped diagnosed the different ailments we had. Sure, the Medical Lab can get backed up, but the waiting room has decent chairs and I have data anyway to help pass the time.

I had my Son here, (during the height of the pandemic) and had to undergo an Emergency C-Section. Although I had my Midwife and Husband with me, it caused a little anxiety, but I heard that Dr. leRoux and Dr. Kleinhans were going to perform the surgery, and my nervousness quickly dissipated, (since I had heard of Dr. Leroux practicing in the Creston Valley for years and had met Dr. Kleinhans personally in the ER). An amazing Doctor explained the medication(s) he was going to deliver via the Spinal and was soft spoken and kind...and away we went. Our Son was born and was a healthy 8lbs. He had a bit of jaundice, so he was in the incubator with the BiliBlanket, (phototherapy device to treat neonatal jaundice) for a day and a half, or maybe 2 days. My stay was amazing and the Nurses were so gentle with our Son. Dr. leRoux was very thorough and checked on me multiple times and went over post c-section care. My Midwife was unable to return, (as another woman was giving birth) but sent the other Midwife in town to follow up with me. Showed us how to properly bathe, change, swaddle, nurse and care for him. And they were always available, gracious and kind during my entire stay. Going through major surgery on top of caring for a newborn was challenging to say the least, but just wanted to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and my Midwife for a wonderful birth experience.

Had to take my husband into the EŔ today and I can't say enough good things about his stay. Triage was quick, straight into a treatment room. The nurses and lab tech were very gentle and explained everything they were doing and why. He had an EKG, blood work,IV, and was given starter doses of antibiotics.

A HUGE rave and thank you to the nurses and doctors in the ER on the afternoon of July 11th. I went into cardiac arrest and you guys saved my life. I can’t thank you enough. Also a thank you to the ambulance paramedics who transported me from my house to the hospital and then from the hospital to the airport for transport to Kelowna. Very well organized. I will never forget what you guys did for me.

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank Dr Griffioen John. He had been following up my aunt's treatment of advanced liver disease and providing valuable treatment advice. My aunt is lucky to meet a good doctor in the last half of her life. Thank you.

Thank you very much to Dr. Weaver and the two nurses who helped take care of me today. Had a migraine for going on two days. They were very thorough and made me feel very well cared for. Thank you again for doing such a wonderful job.

I am here for vacation and I have high anxiety and I've already been there twice lol. I want to say this hospital and nice and I enjoy the doctors and nurses!!! They helped me relax both times. They didn't just give me medication and out the door I go, they talked with me and calmed me down. Thumbs up!!! The only thing I wish is more stuff, like pop/water machine, more stuff to read.

3rd COVID Shot was the least enjoyable so far. Great staff and service through all this.

From AB but broke my ankle in BC. Parking is not wheel chair accessible and difficult to get into the emergency room as it is an uphill walk.

It's not that they do their best with the resources and the pandemic and everything going can do

Were in emergency as hubby was coughing, throwing up, had sharp pains in his side, and having extreme difficulty breathing and sitting up, and of course the wait was long. I had my mask on and of course he didn’t have one. Triage nurse after asking his symptoms in the waiting area then asks him where his mask his? I reiterate he is having extreme trouble breathing, hence the no mask, and her response is “I can’t breath either”. What a totally unprofessional sarcastic jab at a patient in that condition. A health care professional should be ashamed for such a rude and insensitive response when obviously an “I understand” was in order. If you can’t show some sympathy why are you a nurse?

Then turned out hubby had to be checked into the hospital. And the nursing staff there were even ruder, not even just to patients but his doctor as well, who was very good. Went in to see him and the staff just speak down to you. One nice pleasant gal was just new so that helped. The other issue was the confused state everyone seemed in. Penticton was the second smaller hospital he had been at in his lifetime and the staff and care was exceptional. As Creston is a small town was expecting at least equally personable service. Do understand the medical profession is undoubtedly very trying these days but no excuse to treat people disrespectfully when a hospital environment already means durress.

Creston is classified as the Death Hospital go there if you want to die, ignorant staff medical negligence I have epilepsy and ignore my situation and call it fake and not real, I have a VNS implant and a epileptologist specialist in Vancouver and have 7 different types of epilepsy and this hospital just blows it off, and ignores the medical facts, I have emergency personnel who have witnessed this neglect and they are going to be supportive in me going after this hospital legally. Nurses are uneducated Drs are not staffed enough to care because there over worked and under paid. I have numerous situations that have been neglected by their ER staff no vitals no knowledge of epilepsy and what goes along with it. I pray for who has to go to this hospital as you will not get proper care. It’s just a pill shoving hospital who makes addicts and kills off patients from not knowing how to treat patients proper. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Brutal

In the past month I have gone to the ER and also today I went for an ultrasound appointment. Nurse at ER wouldn't even let me into the triage room, and told me to take some gravol, and go home and rest. (Had severe abdominal pain and vomiting), then after finally convincing her that I needed some help she went to put an IV in, she didnt put if into my arm or hand, where my veins were popping out, she stuck it right into my WRISTBONE!!! It was so painful and i asked her to remove it, and she did, she told me to stop overreacting and calm down. After a few hours I finally see a doctor, who was VERY NICE, I had to wait 8 hours in the ER for blood tests to get done. Then wa sent to Cranbrook, had an ultrasound there, it was discovered that I had appendicitis and needed emergency surgery! What in the world is the point of having an ER if they can't get simple bloodwork done, when needed, ultrasounds when needed, nurses who have horrible bedside manner and where saying "take Gravol" is their catchphrase?!?! What if my appendix has burst?! Today I went for an ultrasound, which I had to wait 4 MONTHS for, and the tech was incredibly rude!!! Argued with me about what was ordered and said she didn't think it was all needed because I just had one a month ago. So have no idea if she did what was ordered or not. NEVER AGAIN! Waste of time, and you NEVER treat people, patients the way I was treated there.
