Sunshine 'N Gelato

This has to be the best coffee in Creston, not only the best coffee but the best fresh cinnamon buns you will ever have. The staff are super friendly. The ambiance of the place is great, good selection of books, gifts, etc. we went back almost every day we stayed in town. The one day I didn’t I regretted it. This will be my go to from now on when we visit.

Always great to be here. Helpful and caring staff. Very welcoming. Great for kids and has board games and real homemade quality food.

Been here a few times now, and every time it was such a warm and welcoming environment and staff! I will be doing more meetings here, as its such a nice place to meet friends and clients.

Amazing gelato made in house! We had the London fog and it was so yummy. Great service and fresh baked goodies. The granola cookies are awesome!

Sunshine and Gelato has quickly become a weekly coffee date for my family. We absolutely love the atmosphere, the extremely friendly and caring staff and well, the food and drinks are simply splendid. Our favorites are the matcha and chai latte!! The homemade Gelato is amazing and there are new flavors each week. We also really love the opening hours that enable us to relax here after work on a weekday.

This coffee shop has a very nice ambience, clean, all new inside, bright and very nice staff! We had a Chai tea, and a Fancy coffee, and a puffed wheat Square and some snazzy cream cheese yummy thing, plus I had a toasted sandwich, everything was excellent!!

Really comfy atmosphere. Great book section and the mocha was awesome!

Great atmosphere and service. They can do espresso, and the Chai latte and matcha latte were great. There is a nice seating area with couches and tables.

The book store is integrated into the area and is great for browsing while waiting for your coffee. The also have lots of gifts/clothes to look at.

The staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming which coincidences with the restaurant itself. I ordered a café mocha and a breakfast bagel which was delicious and quite filling.

Found ANOTHER gem in Creston today. Black Bear Books! Right from the get go, the doorway is beautifully painted, the bookstore is clean and well laid out, home made desserts and lots of interesting finds. Lovely lady served me a piping hot mocha, so happy Black Bear Books is there 💜💙💚💛♥

WONDERFUL on the job owners and staff. Best place to hang out in Creston. Home made soups and snacks. Great coffee. Up for sale now. BTW, addressing the rather disgruntled reviewer below: Apparently this former customer finds better experiences elsewhere, or maybe he just had a bad day. It is close to impossible to find fault with this place. The books are quaint, and perhaps some of them actually are used - I don't know, but when you purchase something, it is totally up to YOU to decide if you want to pay the price there. In Creston, we are not accustomed to questioning nor haggling over prices. We are just happy they are here! The staff in Black Bear are exemplary, and not there to question nor over ride the owner's guidelines. They also do not have time to use up in stretching their necks to observe what each customer is doing off in the corner with whatever book. Assuming you really wanted to READ that copy, what exactly is the issue with someone else also having shown interest. hmmm Let me THINK! AH! YES! I am sure you could go order it on line somewhere....

My new favourite coffee shop in downtown Creston. Their soups and sandwiches are delicious also.

Had the asparagus soup (made with fresh Sutcliffe asparagus from that morning's farmers market) with a Ruben panini. Generous portions, but not obscene. The soup was amazing and tasted like asparagus fresh from the field. Always a unique setting to eat in with friendly staff.
