Skeeter Jack's Outback Shack

We were trying to find a place for lunch between ferries and this place was exactly what we were looking for. Super casual and the food is homemade and delicious. I had the 2 piece halibut and spinach salad. The fish was perfectly bartered and fried. The tartar sauce is homemade and tangy. The salad had a great balance of sweet from the cranberries and saltiness of the feta. They also had an awesome variety of cheesecake and drinks. They even had non alcoholic beer for my husband. Service was excellent as well. This is definitely a hidden gem!

We have some time to kill and came across this gem. The fish and chips (coleslaw) were excellent. The patio is lovely!
I highly recommend this spot before you head out to Saltery Bay ferry and grab a bevie prior.

Skeeter Jack's was recommended by the woman checking me into my hotel and I'm so glad I went. Holy s**tballs it was good! I had the BBQ Bacon burger. The blackberry vinaigrette was delicious, the BBQ sauce wasn't too sweet and the fries were golden and crunchy. I got a slice of cheesecake to take home with me and it was just as good as the rest.

We came over from the Mainland and stopped in for a quick dinner. Absolutely scrumptious burgers and a delicious dessert to take it over the top. Skeeter Jack's will definitely be on my must visit list next time I am in Powell River.

Great quiet little restaurant. Food is incredible! Portion sizes are good and it's really "home cooked" type of food... Although can be greasy (but not gross greasy) Service has been incredible 3very time I've been and it has always been a great experience. Might be a little ways out of town but it's worth the drive for sure!! I will be back again that's for sure!

Great food! Good selection (not a huge selection but a good range of different things), great staff, very fast service! Nice and very clean business, the meals prices for the amount of food was amazing! I would recommend this place a guaranteed stop if you visit Powell River. You can also get some funny souvenir T-shirts I liked.

I love this place because of the great service, delicious food and beautiful location. Their menu has great variety and the desserts are amazing. I don't remember what it's called on the menu but I ordered the fish burrito/wrap. It was a perfect lunch.

Delicious food at very fair prices. Nice interior and very friendly and attentive service. They also have a broad selection of homemade deserts. We did not try them but they looked delicious. Overall highly recommended.

Just up the road from my mom's place. I can never resist their desserts. Always have such different cheese cakes and service is always top notch. A Great hole in the wall to stop and mow down at while driving through PR

We had the lasagna family meal! Garlic bread, ceasar salad and lasagna- was excellent! Order ahead - takes half hour to bake!

Great place. We had the fish'n chips. They were really good. They have the most amazing Cheese cakes. So good.

Great place. Very casual in all the right ways. They were busy but service was good, and I loved the pizza.

Good food and even better Desserts, handy location makes this traditional Diner a winner. Roast Beef Dinner is phenomenal.

The usual bits! Perfect fish and chips and mountainous cheesecake, made even better on 2-4-1 dessert Tuesdays! Thanks, we'll be back!

Well the take out Fish & Chips is awesome l phoned out and 20 min it was ready l had the Halibut it is a little more in price but well worth it

Only thing I'm not happy with is the Crispy Chicken Taco Salad
No taco flavor at all, huge cabbage shred in bottom of over browned taco shell no flavor in chicken
Not enough salsa/sour cream

Excellent salad dressing. My chicken wrap was great. The restaurant also has a cool atmosphere

Good food, good COVID-19 safety measures. They are currently open at 1pm and closed on Mondays.
