Their service and quality of food and drinks was top tier!! The poke bowl was the best poke bowl I have ever had and it was ordered and brought out within 15 minutes. Superb!

Had the best time today at the restaurant. Adam was an amazing server/bartender. The food was soooo yum. The drinks yummier. If you haven't tried the Churro waffle dessert you are MISSING out!!! Thank you for making our birthdays so special!

This is the best place for a meal in Rossland or while staying at Red. I have always had flavorful and filling meals and beer and drink selections are numerous and well made. The staff is attentive and friendly. Always our go to spot winter or summer.
The rooms have been recently remodeled and are tasteful and comfortable. Easy access to Red on the free shuttle

Service great. We were in town for a couple nights. Our server who I believe might be the manager seated us promptly. Happy hour menu still in effect for 30 mins. We were able to get 2 rounds of drinks in plus he added a glass of wine for the happy hour menu price after.

Peacado (fish) tacos : 8/10 Good. Liked the breading on the fish and kept it simple as opposed to over loading ingredients. Cabbage was a good touch for the crunch as well as sauce. The corn tortillas were delicious.

Brussels sprouts (park and balsamic) : 10/10. Great flavour and great crunch.

Carnitas taco: 7/10. Meat portion good. Pineapple on top was a perfect touch.

We only had happy hour food. Was not super hungry but the food was filling and drinks good. The server gave us great recommendations - Rossland Brewery. Which we attended after and had some great drinks.

We would come back and we would recommend.

Was in Rossland on a ski vacation and enjoyed a great dinner at The Flying Steamshovel. The pub was very accommodating for our group of 10 with fantastic food and excellent service. Good central location as well.

Fantastic gastro pub style food. Good options for kids. A wide range of food for everyone. Portions were good. Very nice location.

We stopped in for a late lunch and it was very tasty, I had the poke bowl. Service was great, we would definitely go back.

Second year in a row I've had the pleasure of staying here as our band DONUT played shows in the pub. The staff headed by Dan and the team that makes this place run is first class! I have a soft spot for Rossland and knowing this gem is waiting for me to return is so comforting. The rooms are like a home away from home, and the food and service downstairs is outstanding! I love you Steamshovel and all you beautiful people of Rossland! See you next October!

Wow! The servers were friendly and down to earth. The food was fresh perfectly cooked and so flavourful. The John Candy burger was the best burger I have had in many years. My wife had the tuna poke bowl and loved the mix of flavours. I highly recommend the Yellow Dog IPA. It was the perfect ending to a long drive. We’ll be back for sure.

Stayed for two nights in Room 7. The best room! You must stay here if visiting Rossland for a couple of days.
Great location, walking distance to everything. Make sure you check out the pub downstairs and grab some delicious food and drinks!
Loved our room. Perfect accomodations. ♥ Equipped with just about anything you could think of. Super comfortable bed.
Parking is free. Check-in was a breeze. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

I've eaten in and had takeout from the Shovel many, MANY times - and I've never had a bad meal. Consistently reliable deliciousness and in-house, the service is always excellent, You can't go wrong at the Steamshovel.

Best burger in the Kootenays. A large selection of craft beer on tap and friendly knowledgeable staff. If burgers aren't for you they have a small but diverse and often updated menu with lots of different choices. I'm here a lot!

Couldn't have been better!! Our lunch was incredible. The staff were very accomodating and attentive regarding my daughter's food allergies, even contacting the local creamery to find out about cross contamination. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you!

We booked this for the night and arrived about 11pm. Nice clean amd updated rooms. Mini fridge, cool AC and some great Rossland coffee. No keys required as thr door has a passcode assigned to you. Highly recommended staying here.

It was our second time here, we stayed one night for a layover in Rossland before heading back to Vancouver. Room was clean and spacious and well equipped. Would not ask for anything more.

Location is great, just know you'll have to climb that steep hill😊 Staff is welcoming and friendly, ambiance is great. The automated check-in works without problem and the rooms are nice and clean.

What an amazing experience! I sat down at the bar on a Wednesday night after a long day on the town. The wonderful bartender mixed me up my special drink. I sat and drank it next to a patron called Kyle, it was evident he liked to party. An English man from the kitchen whipped me up a scotch egg (on a bed of mustard). There was a very friendly polish server as well as an Italian man. Everyone was looking good and everything was tasting like it should. 10/10 will probably return.
