Hooper's Bakery

I was blown away by the quality and deliciousness of the bread and pastries here! We came to Red Mountain to ski for 5 days and came to Hooper’s every single day since we found it. Tried various type of baguettes, sweet roll, double baked croissant, lemon pastry (must have), cheesecake and some more, there is nothing I don’t recommend!

Run by one of the loveliest couples you can imagine. My nephew worked there for awhile and said they were great to work for - and you can tell because the staff are always helpful and friendly.

The baked goods are fantastic. I'd put the baguettes and croissants up against anyone's, and their passion fruit tarts - well, just do yourself a favour and go taste.

Open part of the week for limited hours, so be prepared to jump on it as they sell out of the most popular goods regularly.

Incredible sourdough and pastries! Was visiting Rossland for a week and wish I ccould take Hoopers home with me. We tried many things over the week and everything we tried was amazing. My favorite was their classic croissant.

The best croissants, pains aux chocolats , viennoiseries & breads. We are very lucky.

Line up just before noon to get your pick. Best bakery in Canada. The almond croissants are exquisite. The fougasse so tasty. Worth every penny.

What a treasure it is to have a European style high end 5* bakery nearby! Customers start to line up before the door even opens, and for good reason. Ordering online works seamlessly too, love the Dutch-door pick up in the back. I hope that Hoopers continues to thrive for many years to come.

I really enjoyed their goods. I had the croissant, almond croissant (?), strawberry rhubarb (croissant, danish, not sure what it's called), chocolat pain (?) and... these were all fantastic to me. I love the crisp, flakey, exterior and the melt in your mouth inside. The strawberry rhubarb is... is ridiculously good. What a treat.

Wow. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. I lived in Montreal for 4 years and can only think of one other bakery with croissants as flakey/buttery as Hoopers. So many thin layers of pastry goodness... The selection isn't huge but since everything is so good I have to go back multiple times per week. Thank you for the amazing work you folks do!

Amazing that this little bakery in this little town produces the most delicious croissants, cherry turnovers, apple streusels, salted caramel chocolate chip cookies and almond-chocolate croissants! We tried them all and were very impressed. You can’t go wrong (unless of course you’re in a diet- but you gotta live a little on vacation).

We are so lucky to have Hooper’s in Rossland. Delicious every time, and even better, the service is above and beyond. My family was visiting from Nova Scotia and wanted to try some more goods but couldn’t get to the shop before leaving. Hooper’s graciously accommodated them and we are so grateful. Anytime we go to Hooper’s, it’s always an extremely happy experience. Wish I could give them a million stars!

kudos to the best croissants, baguettes and fogage' i have ever experienced. I highly recommend this 5 star bakery, c'est tres bon excellent bakery, you just stepped into France in Rossland viola... heaven. :) everything is superb #1

Becca is an absolute legend! When in need of some dangerously delicious baked goods (we had some fresh out of the oven croissants) look no further than Hoopers..

Quality is always amazing! Love is found in the art of the gifted hands that prepare each baked delicacy. The flavours and textures are divine. I look forward to my every visit to the Kootenai's.

The best croissants I have ever tasted, and I've lived in Paris.
I cannot wait for them to extend their hours to offer breakfast goodies, but until then I'll eat pretty much anything they make.

This bakery is a treasure and we count ourselves lucky to have it near us. Stellar people and the baked goods are the best we’ve tried anywhere in the Kootenays. Fantastic breads, seriously addictive croissants and cinnamon rolls, and the chocolate truffles...well...you’ll just have to try them for yourselves.

This place is amazing! The almond croissants are best ones I have ever had! I can not wait to visit next year and get some more.

I've been all over western Canada and I've yet to find a bakery I like more. The super sour loaf is amazing. Everything that I've had from here has been amazing.

Had a chocolate croissant and a sesame baguette and both were awesome. I ate the whole baguette to my face because it was still warm and the croissant was to die for. Hooper's is a destination in Rossland.

Amazing baked goods! Staff is super friendly! Clean facility. Try the fougasse.....it is so delicious!!! So are the truffles.....don't buy the small bag, get the large one because they're that good! Highly recommend!
