Sunset Motel

After a long day of driving, it was wonderful to arrive at Sunset Motel. My sister and I were impressed by how clean and comfortable our room was…actually 2 rooms with adjoining bathroom. The price was right, included light continental breakfast and was quiet. Sunny was friendly and helpful.

Cheerful and affordable!!Very comfortable beds, we had an awesome sleep!!The rooms are clean and quiet and Sunny the owner is lovely. Modest self serve continental breakfast topped , would absolutely dray again. Highly recommended !

We had an extremely pleasant stay at the Sunset Motel. The rooms were very clean and quiet (despite proximity to the highway) and the location is great. The fridge and microwave were extremely convenient to have on a road trip and the continental breakfast is a nice touch. We would definitely come back and stay again in the future!

I arrived here late on a Monday night, having travelled 10 hours from the Okanagan. The lady in Reception w3as so friendly and accommodating. After a long day, I certainly appreciated seeing a friendly face. She gave me the last room, and came to the room to start the AC for me. The bed was wonderful, and I had a restful night. The room was clean and very comfortable. A separate bedroom.
Next morning, coffee, muffin, juice and a yogurt, and I was on my way.

Super comfy beds.
Nice little continental breakfast.
Great location.
Stayed one night and going back for 3 nights next week.
Highly recommend the Sunset Motel if looking for accommodations in Fort McLeod.

You don't expect too much from a small-town motel but the 2 bed room had one bed in a separate room which was great! Rooms were clean, mattresses were SUPER comfy and the owners/operators were very helpful and friendly, I had booked a 3 bed room but had someone back out so we only needed 2 and they downgraded me and gave me a lower rate. Definitely recommend if you're in Ft Macloed. It's only 2 blocks from the arena!

The owner, Sunny, was very friendly and helpful. Her name definitely suits her. All aspects of the room were clean, neat, and tidy. I felt it was a reflection of how conscientious Sunny is as a person.

This motel is older, but Very clean! Nice people and comfortable rooms.

Stayed here on Feb.09/23. Was impressed by how clean the room was. No highway noise either, was very quiet. Great location with the A&W, Subway and gas station store basically next door.

The room was very clean. It was comfortable with lots of towels and coffee. Also had a modest continental breakfast in the am. It was walking distance to the Main Street where I found the Queen Hotel, Empress Theatre and the recreation of the NWMP Fort. But, I think most importantly, the owner was friendly, approachable and very accommodating!!

Nice little hotel on the end of town heading north towards Calgary. Very polite clerk when I checked in and super easy check in. It is a pet friendly hotel which was great for me since I had my dog with me. The room had a large flat screen TV (probably 60"), fridge, microwave, table for 2, desk, hot shower, air conditioning, a great heater and comfortable bed.

It was a great little motel. Super friendly lady at check on. Typical continental breakfast (yogurt, fruit, toast, muffins juice and coffee). The rooms show the age of the building, but the bed was comfy, the room was warm, big TV, and the water pressure was good. Our room faced the highway, but you couldn't even hear the traffic. Would gladly stay again.

Nice, quiet and clean establishment just off HW 2. Beds were comfortable, rooms had big screen tv, fridges, cook top and pots, pans, dished, cutlery. Great stay, would definitely come again.

Was riding my motorbike on a tour of Western Canada, and found this little gem. I was worried it would be noisy, because it was next to the highway, but actually super quiet. The owner and I chatted about things we had in common, and she was super friendly, so I stayed there again on my way home. The room was very clean, and the a/c worked perfectly and quietly. The bed was some kind of awesome memory foam mattress, and very comfortable. Would, and did, recommend it to other travellers.

A great place to stay with the pets. Comfortable, clean and air conditioned. The hard working folks that own it really make a difference. And very quiet too.
They may not have hair dryers or ironing boards but after driving all day, I sure did appreciate all they did have!

Stayed here twice now and I've been very pleased with how clean the rooms are. Huge flat screen TV in the room and continental breakfast available. Would recommend!

Owner was very friendly, called ahead and she held the room for us. Room was very clean, comfy bed, table in room with 2 chairs. We'd been hotelling for 5 nites and this was the nicest place had stayed and best value for the money

The room was very clean, and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the highway. The beds were soft and comfortable, I had one of the best night's sleeps I've had in a very long time in this hotel. Was a great stay, and affordable price.

Very friendly staff, great rooms. Was here for two weeks while working and they went above and beyond. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through or crews looking to stay long term. No complaints at all!!
