ASK Legal helped me over a many-years long case that kicked off in early 2020 (guess what else happened at that time!) and always worked with myself and my partner to come up with ideas and solutions on how to handle our case. They always were listening to us and making sure it wasn't about just getting the case done, but also paying attention to specifically the things we cared about.

Not everyone has the same goals with legal cases, and I never felt like ASK Legal did anything but focus on ours.

ASK Legal was careful to go over everything we'd need to know about the processes, and what we'd have to do, and let us decide which elements we wanted to handle and which elements they would handle.

Importantly, critically, when actually going before the Landlord Tenant Board, our representation presented themselves incredibly professionally, clearly knew not only the process, but the people in the legal systems in Toronto, and knew the laws and rules well enough to routinely present our case well.

I got to watch other cases first hand going through all this, and our representation through ASK Legal was easily the best I saw. Other representatives were sloppy or forgetful. Some were timid, some were incredibly aggressive, to the point of brash rudeness. Our representation with ASK Legal though? Anthony was a great help to us. My tenant stopped paying rent and had bad behaviour issues during his stay. He also made a complaint to the L and T Board regarding maintenance issues and requested us to refund all his money for his stay. We're small landlords in Toronto, this impacted us financially and emotionally. I tired contacted many agencies for help but not useful so I google and found Anthony. Anthony did a great job as my representative against a difficult tenant who was refusing to leave a 3 bedroom apartment, in which he was only paying a 1/3 of the rent. At first I represented myself and realized I was in over my head due to the case being very complicated, and looking like it was leaning in the tenants favour, due to broken system we have in place. Have you ever dealt with the Ontario LTB? Whatever the merit of your claim, you could easily lose on procedural grounds because the institution is clumsy and inefficient. I unfortunately had to go through that experience, and to make matters worse, the previous lawyer I had chosen was not as responsive as I wanted them to be.
