RONA+ Scarborough (North)

We purchased all our appliances from Lowe's during a major renovation many years ago. They lasted quite some time, but then with two service calls and a recent drainage issue, we decided to get a new washer/dryer.

tech-savvyWe went back to Lowe's, and found out that sets nowadays are quite tech savvy! We preferred the manual and easier settings from the past but ended up going for the digital versions.

Delivery was smooth, and despite us using our own padding and tarp, the installers (Moshi & Mdeen) were careful when entering and leaving our home.

We're still not used to the newer settings, but we haven't had any issues, so far!

All Lowe's locations in Canada will be switching over to Rona on July 27, so hopefully the good customer service will continue!

Hardworking store manager and courteous staff. On my last visit a few Sundays ago, I needed to purchase one sheet of untreated plywood and have it cut. The taller staffer at the Pro counter called on a colleague named Raymond (Rayman -- sorry if misspelled) to help us. He must've been busy. We waited a while. The polite staffer minding the counter was apologetic for the delay, which was nice. When he did arrive, he went over and above in helping us with the small purchase. Turns out, he was the store manager. By the time we finished at the checkout, Raymond was already outside on the forklift, hauling some skids. Keep up the great work! Your efforts don't go unnoticed.

Today, we paid a visit to Lowe's because we were uncertain whether this particular store was in the process of closing down or transitioning to become a Rona outlet. Witnessing the closure of stores is always a somber experience, so we decided to take a brief stroll through the premises.

First and foremost, the staff at Rona is exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the moment you step foot into the store, you are greeted with warm smiles and a willingness to assist. The employees are knowledgeable about the products and are always ready to provide guidance or answer any questions you may have. I was looking for an impact drill and a older gentleman who worked at the store walked me through the isles and found a drill on sale for a really good price. He also helped advise on the drill bits I chose. He opened the box and let me try it out. It felt my needs and went to check out.

This Lowe’s is really good been coming here for all my home needs and everyone is super nice. I bought a pergola and it had some defects. The customer service line for Allen and Roth products was abysmal but this Lowe’s store was able to give me a solution that was reasonable.

I wanted to shout out Raylene. I was looking to paint my closets but didn’t know where to begin, she helped me through the entire process and even recommended a finish. I’m very happy with my purchase and it’s due to employees like Raylene that I continue to go back to Lowes.

The store itself is great, I usually don't have any issues while shopping. However, I feel its important to note that not everyone is stealing. While at the self check out I had one of the staff members stand a few feet from me and stare (uncomfortably long) at me while checking out. I mentioned "Wow, they pay you to stand and stare at people" she immediately started apologizing, and mentioning how some people don't scan everything. While that is understandable, it doesn't outweigh the fact that I was the only person being watched. I know this because I had on sunglasses, she wasn't aware I could see her watching me.. Dear management: Please advise your staff that discrimination isn't ok :)

We visited this Lowe's today and had a wonderful experience. All the staff were very friendly and ready to help. Heresh assisted us with the purchase of a smoker/bbq and helped to pick out all the accessories we would need. They offered carry out without us asking - which I appreciated, as my big, strong hubby would never ask on his own LOL and I'd be stuck trying to help lift the huge and heavy box! Great experience and the prices were actually less than they were at our local Lowe's in East Gwillimbury, double win!

I like this home building store, just bought a whole home water filter, the regular price was $100 cheaper than any other place, including Amazon. I have been coming here almost from the day they opened. Nice and friendly people.

I hope this review can reach the senior management of the Lowes Markham Steeles location. It is for a warranty replacement experience for a complex custom order completed a few years back but still within the 5-year warranty.

Typically, for an order completed a while back, not to mention it was a complex custom order, stores would just ask the customer to speak to their supplier/manufacturer directly. (I still remember the poor service of the HVAC vendor of a big box store further north off Hwy 48)

However, my experience given by an associate at the Lowes Markham Steeles location this time is different. Although the associate was not the department manager who placed the complex custom order to the manufacturer a few years back, he was willing to painstakingly go through the entire complex custom order and then later involved calling and dealing with their supplier for at least a few rounds to make sure the manufacturer understood the problem and honour their warranty replacement. This associate’s great work and abilities impressed me a lot while making the Lowes Markham Steeles location sure stand out from the rest.

My husband went there two Saturdays ago to get a retractable screen for the front door and a sliding door for the back door. We wanted to say a big thank you the great customer service he received. I know during this time it can be challenging for staff to always give 110% but the staff who helped my husband were professional, knowledgeable and very happy 😊 to help him with all his need. Thank you Lowes we will be shopping there all the time.

Hello , want to give a shout out to James for the excellent service he provided to us tonight. James came up with a better solution than we had found to our problem and in doing so demostrated excellent knowledge of Lowes available products. He took us right of away to the correct section and helped us find the right product that best solved our problem. He clearly showed an interest in helping us, and for this reason we are writing this review because one must support and encourage this kind of service, not found easily in many other stores. Thank you James for all your help.
