Bookworms Unite! Torn Pages is a gem of a used bookstore in Stayner, Ontario. Wall to Wall books and an incredibly knowledgeable owner named Troy, who SOMEHOW knows almost every single book in existence. Knowledge and enthusiasm like his is hard to find and SO appreciated. He always steers my daughter and I toward some incredible books to try, and is always right. I love the feel of this quaint, little shop. Troy also packages books together into "mystery packs" wrapped in brown paper. Mystery, drama, romance, thriller, etc. Low price for great picks and a perfect surprise if you're unable to decide for yourself. This little shop is definitely worth visiting.

What an amazing find! Driving past our kids yelled out "there's a book store, let's go!!" We walked in and they were astounded by all the books and just loved every minute of being there. Troy the owner was so helpful and knowledgeable, he made the kids feel so special. Our youngest stated this is best book ever.

Troy knows where every book is and is so friendly and willing to help you find just what you are looking for. We will definitely be stopping in here again. We would even make the drive to Stayner just to go to TORN Pages! Highly, highly recommend!

Full of hidden treasures and nostalgia, this is a must-stop shop in Stayner for any reading enthusiast or those taking a trip down memory lane. The proprietor is both friendly and knowledgeable, and I wouldn't put it past him to have read every book he's put on his shelves. He's also consistently adding new old gems at very reasonable prices, so I'll definitely be a returning customer.

I have always passed by this store wanting to check it out. The owner is an amazing person, friendly and welcoming. Awesome to chat with. I purchased 4 books plus his mystery book bundle which I can't wait to check out. Lots of books and lots of options there. Can't wait to go again in the future.

This store is awesome - it carries every book you could think of. Troy was friendly and a great help with navigating the store, and authors. He was also super informative about good places to shop and eat in town. I could spend hours in this store and will definitely be coming back.

Torn Pages is every book lovers dream - it’s exactly what a book shop should be: full of used books at great prices complete with a GREAT owner who is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would believe he’s read every book ever and is just awesome. I’ve never been to stayner but I will be returning both for the books and to see Troy again!

This is arguably my favourite book store ever to get books from, the guy who works there is very friendly and open and always recommends new reads for me. He’s very sweet as well. I’d give him more stars if I could honestly. It’s one of my highlights for any trip into Stayner

This place, for lack of a better word, rocks. The person who assisted us in our browsing took his time to help us with a smile and a welcoming attitude. He even suggested us new authors to follow even though they didn't happen to be holding their books at the time of our visit, which tells you this shop is kept by true book-lovers. Overall, the vibe is just great there. Go try it out for yourself and you won't regret it.

Really committed to the enjoyment and learning of reading. Really encouraged and celebrated my sons exploration of reading specifically World War interests. Even expressed sympathy for passing of my mother as she was a local and frequent guest.

My first time in here and I loved it! Super nice staff and great selection of books.

Very good! They had a Manga selection, which not many bookstores (that ive visited) have! They had areas sorted out for different books, and they were all series organized. I got a whole (6 set) manga series for about $30CAD, each book was about $6CAD and they were barely touched/very carefully taken care of. The only downside is the stickers they use to put the prices on, they didnt come off the series covers as easily as id hoped. My father had said use a papertowel with hot water, but the books are paperback so i decided to not. But besides that, overall i rate it 5*!

Overwhelmed by how a young man that’s brave enough to start a small business let alone it being a bookstore. I admire the courage and wish him all the best. Wonderful store and great name!
I will be honest when I first heard about a little bookshop in Stayner I was expecting something entirely different. It’s a great store and even though it’s new to me I have felt like this place has been around for years.

I spent over an hour talking to the owner and was impressed with his life story, his sense of business, his knowledge of books, his kindness, his positive attitude and his love for the town of Stayner. I can see many wonderful things coming his way!
Also i enjoyed his great selection of books. His prices are reasonable too because i couldn’t believe that I left with a big heavy bag full of books.
I hope one day his dream leads the way into a bigger bookstore. Even for a small bookstore it’s really welcoming and cozy.

Also if you are selling that antique typewriter anytime soon give me a call kid!! Just kidding
