I’m french and I’ve been to many french camps in my life but when I arrived for my first year in Polaris at camp Wenonah I realized I had found an amazing place, one of the best if not the best experience of my life, a humanly and socially extraordinary adventure. Thanks for everything ❤

What a wonderful place. I brought my first class here 19 years ago, and the school has come every year since. The professionalism and leadership from the staff is second to none. Wenonah builds confidence in the campers, and fosters a safe and fun atmosphere. And you can really tell how special the place is to all those who work there. One of our children will start attending summer camp next year. And I know she is going to love it there. It is the best!

I cannot recommend this camp highly enough. As a parent and a teacher, I have been fortunate to experience Camp Wenonah from both perspectives. My children have attended this camp for the past four years and each year come back with many incredible memories and stories about the amazing staff, facility, food, and experiences that they have enjoyed and learned from. I am also lucky enough to be able to be a part of a teaching team that brings up over 150 boys from grades 3-6 for a week long camp experience each fall. The outdoor centre staff are experienced and well-equipped to handle every little detail to ensure each child in their care has the opportunity to grow and try new adventures never before experienced. The staff also go out of their way to nurture positive and lasting connections with both the students and the staff. Thanks, Camp Wenonah - can't wait to see you all soon!

As full disclosure, I have a long association with Wenonah as staff, but this was my first year experiencing from the perspective of a parent. I have to say that the staff performed above even my own expectations. I never had concerns about the staff, but I was concerned about the special needs of my first time camper, and successfully integrating them into the program without impacting the experience of other campers. It's one thing to hear Jeff talk about the trust parents place in the staff and the professionalism expected, but it's completely different being on the other side. So, as a parent and as staff, I whole heartedly recommend Camp Wenonah.

An excellent camper experience!! Cabins are set in nature surrounded by trees and lakes and kids have everything they need. Food is fresh, healthy, varied and tasty! Different diets are always accommodated for. Safety is a big priority - staff are well trained and a medical professional is always on site. I spent several years at Camp Wenonah and would highly recommend it to families and school groups looking for a true, memorable camp experience.

Having worked at, and visited, many camps THIS is the first one I recommend to friends and family, and one of the very few I'd feel comfortable sending kids to. Whether it's an Outdoor Centre experience in spring or fall (for school trips), or as a summer camp, the leadership, experience, site, and staff values make this a valuable experience for kids to get out of the city and experience nature in a safe place. It has a rustic charm of traditional summer camp while still providing modern amenities like flush toilets and kitchen equipment. Highly recommend (and, I'm happy to say, that those families to whom I've recommended Camp Wenonah have raved about it and continue to send their children back).

I'm incredibly fortunate to have been invited to Camp Wenonah by a friend 15 years ago. As a child who had attended numerous day camps previously, I remember thinking that Wenonah was the first camp I attended where I felt like I was an important part of a community, I felt totally comfortable being myself, and wasn't counting down the hours until I went home (a huge deal for a shy 10 year old who just wanted to stay at home with her parents)! Today I'm still involved in the camping industry and work with hundreds of other camps on a daily basis. While there are tons of incredible camps out there, I have yet to find another Wenonah. The programs provided are outrageously fun, creative and purposeful, the food is amazing, the staff are well-trained and beyond dedicated to their jobs, and the site is unbelievably beautiful and well-maintained. If you send your child to Wenonah, they will become part of an incredibly supportive, caring community and they will return home with more independence, leadership, and compassion.

Camp Wenonah has been a second home of mine for 10 years now. Both the campers and the staff are the kindest group that you'll ever meet. The facilities, the food (their special diet menus get two thumbs up from me!), and the staff are all INCREDIBLE. Growing up at Camp Wenonah taught me so much of who I am today, and I am thankful. Sending your kid to camp is one of the greatest gifts, and Wenonah is the cherry on the top.

Simply the best! I have been involved with Camp Wenonah for 20 years as a camper, staff member, camp doctor and alumni. Camp Wenonah is my home away from home. Many of my best friendships were made at camp. Camp Wenonah has also helped shape who I as a person with its supportive environment where I learned to feel good in my own skin and felt safe to make mistakes and learn from them. The food is top notch. The counsellors (many of whom were previous campers) are well chosen and well trained. The selection of activities is extensive. The property is beautifully maintained. The directors are fabulous and work to make sure that every camper has a fabulous experience. I can't wait to send my kids to camp Wenonah.

A home away from home for me. I had the privilege of attending this camp for 9 years as a camper and 3 years as a staff member - best summers of my life. My appreciation for the outdoors and best memories from my childhood would not be the same without this place. Every staff member that works here truly cares about the camp experience for all children that attend. Whether it be water sports, rock climbing, or canoeing trips (to name a few), every activity/program will leave a lasting impression on all of the campers that attend (young and older)...on top of that, the food is amazing! They have an incredible food service team that takes into consideration each-and-every campers dietary needs.

Camp Wenonah is outstanding – the experience, camp program, caring staff, supervision, food service, physical site, and overall care for children are all best in class. After having been a camper and staff member myself for many years, I will be sending both of my children to camp when they are the appropriate age. Wenonah has had such an important and profound impact on my life, that my wife and I even got married there in 2012!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wenonah to anyone considering a summer camp or outdoor centre experience.

Spectacular place! The location is stunning, the staff are well trained, passionate, caring and truly care about the campers and the place. The activities are awesome and the programming is intentional and well delivered! A beautiful place for kids to spend time outdoors learning new skills and building friendships, independence and memories that will last a lifetime! Would recommend Wenonah to friends and family without hesitation!

My kids have attended Camp Wenonah for years. As a parent, I am confident that they are not only well cared for, but that they are also being immersed in a caring culture of positive learning. Yes, they are developing new skills, but they are also returning home each year with increased confidence. In addition, they are making connections with staff and campers that will last a lifetime. The fact that my daughter is now signed up almost a year in advanced for a month long session speaks for itself!

Wenonah is an amazing place. Year after year kids from all over the world travel to Canada for another chance to share a few weeks with their summer camp family. The grounds are unbelievably beautiful, the staff are extremely caring and passionate for camp and the campers and the management team fully committed to providing a safe, fun and extremely fulfilling camp experience to every kid. I came to Wenonah all the way from Venezuela to work as a counsellor for 5 amazing summers and several of my siblings and cousins have also attended camp and campers and staff over the years. We all still think of Wenonah as home.

As someone who has grown up at Wenonah, I can attest to the magic of this place. Wenonah provides campers with a safe, friendly, fun environment in which to challenge themselves with new activities and be part of a caring community. The camp is set on a beautiful site, surrounded by nature and bordering two lovely lakes, and host to some amazing program areas like sailing, kayaking, archery, arts and crafts and much more. The staff (including on-site nurses in the summer) are well-trained and provide creative cabin programming for kids of all ages. The chef and kitchen staff work hard to provide tasty, balanced, family-style meals. From learning new skills (such as archery and sailing), to appreciating nature, to becoming part of a wonderful community and making life-long friends, Camp Wenonah has provided me with so many positive experiences and memories!

The experiences I've had here wouldn't fit into the space I have for this review... I came here as a camper back in the 90s and just recently got to bring my young family there earlier this summer. My daughter can't wait to go back next summer (all by herself for the first time). The staff and management's lifelong dedication to child development and the camp experience make this an ideal place to choose for your kids... And the food is top notch.

My daughter had the time of her life! She couldn't stop talking about the people she met, the memories made and the food!! Oh the food! A sit down roast beef dinner with all the fixings! She is going into grade 9 and can't wait to go back next summer.

I've brought students here for several years. There truly isn't a better year end trip for kids out there. Swapping mobile devices for exhausting fun of climbing walls, kayaking, archery, wide games, polar bear dips and so forth is a wonderful reminder of what being a kid is about and how to truly free play. Food is fantastic, staff highly trained and caring. Highly, highly recommend!
