The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. James

Had a reservation for 8:15 my server was Vanda the resident was very clean with great lighting she was very professional and polite and answered all our questions based on our food. I got the escargot the keg burger and jumbo shrimp. The escargot was hot and delicious and full of flavour. The shrimp was great with amazing flavour the burger was hands down the BEST with amazing sauce and flavour will be coming back.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary here. It was absolutely amazing. Even got a huge piece of ice cream cake for dessert on the house. Very pricey, but definitely worth it.

The food portion is great! Delicious! Dim and warm vibe inside! Our server for the Night, Eli, is so sweet and great too!

Steve K was our server, he is the best! I Have been there a few times on Friday & weekends— I have to say the food, service and atmosphere is much better during the week!

Amazing experience here on Saturday. Called ahead by 45 for a reservation, wasn’t a problem. Tons of parking - free lot. Lots of people when we arrived but that’s on me bc I forgot it was Father’s Day weekend. Only waited for a few minutes. Front desk was outside so you didn’t need to be packed like sardines in the lobby. Our waiter Ryan was incredible, the mushroom Neptune, sirloin Oscar, and prime rib were all melt in your mouth delicious, and was surprised by free ice cream cake dessert after our meal for my birthday!

How have I never reviewed this place!?! I've eaten here so many times over the years....so I must really like it!
The food is always great, the cauliflower bites have ruined me for other restaurants, the mashed potatoes are scrumptious, and the desserts are the perfect end to a delicious meal.
The server was lovely, I didn't get his name but he did an excellent job. I'm one of those people who like ordering food and sharing it with the table and servers get bonus points for offering the extra plates to do this with. Oh and warmed plates are awesome too!
While we were there a huge group came in, cudos to the wait staff for being able to seat that many.

It was our first time here and the service was amazing. They were all nice and patient especially our server Chelsea (idk if that's how you spell her name). She explained the menu and was very sweet. The food was well made. The baked brie was so creamy and the lobster feature appy was so rich and cheesy! It was the first time we had chicken in a resto that was not dry. The salmon was very yummy too! Overall great experience and will definitely be back.

Bit of a late Valentine's Day dinner last Friday. I also forgot this was Louis Riel Day weekend, so to say it was busy is a bit of an understatement with a 45-minute wait and more people coming in behind us every 10 seconds.
My date and I enjoyed the Filet Mignon Keg Classic Dinner with Caesar salad sautéed mushrooms and seasonal vegetables. I also ordered calamari for us to share. Everything was delicious, the Beets were perfectly roasted, mushrooms and broccoli tasted great, Steaks were done precisely how we wanted, hers a pink medium, and mine a delicious medium rare.
Got our table at 630pm and were out by 745pm. With how busy it was, I was impressed by the quickness at which we received our orders, though we were ready with the menus prior to sitting since we had 45 minutes to kill.
Atmosphere did remind me of a dark Boston Pizza since we were seated in the lounge, but with how busy they were, it would have been an additional 15-minute wait, so I'm not too bothered

Absolutely the best service I've had during my existence. Had a party of 11 @630pm (with 2 kiddos under 10) to celebrate a birthday (11/29/23) & from start to finish, everything was perfect. Our servers took exceptional care of us & all of our steaks were cooked to our liking. Appetizers & sides were delicious & the cocktails not only slapped but were consistent. Bravo.

My first time there will go back n recommend of course I forgot to take pics of appys n entrée but dessert is almost u guys get...lol

Great food, dessert and drinks, if you go, ask for Nathan. Dude was awesome, all his reccomendations were on point.

I have never had a bad meal here. I always have the prime rib classic and it never disappoints. Nathan has been our waiter on a couple of occasions and he is the best! Love this place!

St. James Keg is our #1 favourite spot and good vibes location by far! 👌🏽 Excellent food w/ perfect sirloin steaks & outstanding service because of the veteran servers that have been working there for years. We loved the wine our server suggested. Top notch ambiance & seating arrangements. I want my business to be like The Keg when it grows up. 💯

The food and drinks were perfect and our server Ryan was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick where needed but never rushed us. The Danny Ocean is a must try for any classic margarita fan. Meiomi pairs beautifully with steak and lobster. I had the peppercorn whiskey sauce added as a side to my New York sirloin and it was a great addition. Mushroom neptunes were just as reliable as always. Everything was exceptional - except the caesar salad - it just tasted a little bitter for me for some reason. Still it was a 5/5 for sure. Lots of food left over for tomorrow.

Had a lovely meal on Christmas Eve! Food was great, atmosphere was great but service could’ve been a little bit better although it was busy, so I understand that. Love The Keg!! Especially their piña coladas!

Our server Leah was amazing. The portion size was great for the price so I had some to save for the next day, and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Calamari was also great, not greasy. A good amount of option for accompaniments for the meal. Start to finish we were very happy for our anniversary dinner. Thank you :)

We ventured out tonight for my birthday dinner. The Keg has always been my go to for a nice evening out. Started out a little shaky waiting a bit even though we had reservations, but good food and great customer service from both our server Karli ( who owes me a song!!), and Josh, one of the managers on duty, we had a fantastic time. We'll be back if you'll have us!! Thanks again!

We had a wonderful time celebrating 2 birthdays and a newlywed couple with our party. Staff was very friendly, attentive and kind. The food was great. There were a couple of mix ups with steaks but they were quick to resolve them. I/we were surprised with a slice of BM pie for each of the celebrations it was very sweet and a lovely way to end dinner with the family as we could all share it.

The staff went above and beyond during our visit. One of them even saw us struggling outside to take a group photo and came out to assist us after we'd already left.

My only complaint is that it was a little cold and a little dark in the dining room but that's really not a big deal - it would make taking a picture of my delicious food a little easier

We went for our 19th Anniversary. We had a great evening. We were taken in right away and the service was great! Always loved this location, never had a bad experience. Even though the Kenniston one is closer to us, worth the drive. Meal was exceptional. Drinks were made excellent and so was the desert. Will be back for sure. Thanks folks!

Had a great time New Years Eve 2023 with great friends and had the pleasure of being served by an amazing friendly and cordial young lady Kim....who had the most pleasant personality...could take a joke and pull one on us herself.....be sure to ask for her area when you dine here...you wont regret it!
