We love IGA supporting local business!

Still the best place for a quick shopping trip! I do wish they had better bike parking, but the bike parking they have isn't terrible, nor is it ever overcrowded, so I give them a pass
2023 update: still the best for that quick trip!

Everything you need is here. Maybe some of the prices are a bit on the higher side, but there are also lots of really good sales, and the produce/ meats/ dairy are all fresh. The hours of operation are very convenient too. They have done some renovating, making it easier to navigate the aisles. Staff is helpful, and friendly.

YAY IGA…. what a great BBQ for a great cause … we love supporting businesses who support the community … and the staff / management working we’re awesome …. thank you IGA for the great burgers (we caught the tail end so we got loaded up w a double cheeseburger 😉)

The staff are polite. I got a free sample of ravioli once. It was delicious. I go here every chance I get.

I had the best experience yesterday at IGA. They made me laugh and were so friendly at the till. Nice change. Their meat is good, prices are not bad ands convenient for me. They also have a surprisingly good selection for such a small store….I wanted truffle oil in a hurry one day and they had some!

They bring in some local produce which is excellent. Best BBQ skewers in town, and fresh burger patties. Best bakery cookies. They carry alfalfa sprouts, which Safeway does not. Lovely staff. Nice small store, not crazy busy. I only wish they carried the Mann's sugar snap peas, and a couple times the ice cream has been freezer burnt.

Great local grocery store. The meat department is great. They don't just stock the regular boring grocery store cuts. There's always something interesting and reasonably priced. I always make a point of stopping in when I'm in the area.

Small but perfectly good grocery store. The people who work here are very helpful.

Great grocery store. So easy to find what I want? Lots of staff to assist. Management is awesome. They keep the store running in a tip top manner. The atmosphere is friendly. I just love going there.

My former go-to store! Found my daily bread😉 and as usual, enjoyed the business-like atmosphere. Much rather support smaller businesses than the big box stores I brave the perils of over-consumption at!🤪 Highly recommended 👌

We just had our daughters birthday party and once again IGA Penticton was soooooo amazing❤ Best cupcakes, best cake. Price awesome. Cakes off the chart awesome. Colin Powell and his family are the best local grocery store owners and just fantastic people🧁

One thing took me aback was their price point. You need to be a smart shopper but this place made it easy. Yes the prices are higher than accustomed to but you gave breath alittle. Thanks to all employees and management.

A smaller store doesn’t need to mean that it’s not well stocked with what you need for every day necessities. Always clean, fair prices, friendly staff and quick check out makes for a pleasant shopping experience.

I have always had excellent service, and found the staff to be very friendly. The store is clean, well organized, and has recently had a refreshing face-lift. The produce is nicely laid out. Repeatedly, the in-store specials save you considerable money. The bakery is very tempting, and the staff behind the fish/meat counter, most notably Daniel, have always been exceptionally friendly to me. I travel the world for work and find it charming and soulful to return to Penticton where life moves at a slower pace. Just this week, a personable young man in the produce department left what he was doing to escort me to the item I was looking for, which had changed location since I was last in the store (bulk candy, chocolate covered Jujubes, yum!) I appreciated the customer service training the staff must receive.. This would have been considered a 'normal' sized store for most of my life, but now that mega-stores have emerged, I often avoid the big stores with their huge parking lots and excessive everything, as they leave me with a heavy sense of 'affluenza'. I prefer IGA. You can pop in for your items, be served by a friendly cashier, and be out in a flash.

I love how the staff actually pays attention to what is going on around them. Asking if they can help you find something, and opening more tills when there's a lineup. Keep up the great customer service!
