This hidden gem is outstanding! From the moment we drove onto the tranquil property until the moment we left we felt so well taken care of, we did not want to leave. Mike and Tammy were so kind and helpful, the maintenance/security man even shoveled a pathway to a fire pit for us so we could enjoy a fire! Our room was immaculate and the icing on the cake was The Kitchen... they went and served me up the best lobster eggs benedict I have ever had! I can not wait to return to this beauty!

A group of friends had a lovely birthday lunch at The Kitchen at Schott's Lake. We loved the snowy beauty around us, the rustic ambience of the restaurant and the wonderful food. Two friends had the brisket sandwich and said it was the best hot sandwich they'd ever tasted! We liked the place so much we want to go back soon.

Great little hide away. About an hour and a bit from Calgary. The room was very clean and the fireplace gave out some good heat. The restaurant was fantastic. I had the prime rib and my wife had the Mongolian beef bowl. Generous portions and tasty to boot! Breakfast was outstanding too! Great service and friendly. Would I do it again? For sure!

My Husband and I have cherished our time spent at Schott’s Lake. We visit the restaurant about once every month and a half. The food is delicious, we’ve come to know the staff. Chef Chris and Hostess Tammi have treated us well.

The beautiful scenery and rustic ambience of the restaurant all add to the experience. I highly recommend a trip out to this hidden gem. If you’re worried about making the drive back to Calgary rent a cabin. You’ll get the best sleep, and experience some of Alberta’s hidden beauty.

I went to the restaurant with some coworkers and we were very satisfied. The food was tasty, with local inspired dishes (bison, elk); the patio was quiet and scenic, overlooking the "lake" and surrounded by forest; the staff were friendly; and they have patio heaters, so you can sit outside on cool evenings. We really liked the arctic char, elk spring rolls, Charcuterie, bison short ribs, and lava cake. I'd make the drive out there again.

Our daughter, who lives in Sundre, wanted to show us the location and introduce us to the restaurant - we just stopped for a round of drinks and a helping of fries each - and we're delighted with the views, the fare and the service. My wife and I were staying with our daughter and family for a Christmas vacation and this was one of the highlights.

My sister and I had lunch here last Thursday. Excellent service and the food and presentation was fabulous. Especially the carrot summer squash soup. We will definitely be back.

We went for Breakfast with Santa with our son and daughter in-law and our two grandsons. What a wonderful experience, beautiful decorations and delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone with kids

We made a reservation for 14 people for my Mother in laws 80th Birthday. The service was great, the food was phenomenal 👌. We took a great picture of the group on the deck. We definitely will be back and hope to spend the night next time.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this beautiful resort and will definitely be back. The motel room was very nice and comfortable and super quiet. We especially appreciated the fact that it had a sofa and a small dining table and 2 chairs, allowing us space out. Since we had to bring our own breakfast the Keurig coffee machine and mini fridge came in handy. The restaurant is overlooking the beautiful lake and has a fantastic outdoor patio. One of the best settings we have come across in a long time and a great place to have a few drinks or a meal. The Elk Burger was delicious and the fries crispy and tasty. The hot lava cake was to die for. The restaurant was busy so we had to wait for our food, but since we enjoyed the lovely setting so much we didn't mind at all.
We already look forward to our next stay.

Prime rib 3 course dinner is amazing! The blue sunflower drink also amazing. Will come back again and again.

We just came to The Kitchen for dinner which was about a 20 minute drive from Sundre. The restaurant itself had great aesthetics and incredibly clean bathrooms. Our service was very good considering there was only one person for hostessing serving and bartending! We had the spicy shrimp stack, which I would absolutely recommend, the arctic char and the Cornish hen. All of our items came out in great portion sizes, very tasty and hot! Served with a bottle of wine and we had a fantastic evening. Although we didn’t have it, the special for prime rib came out as a massive plate of food and everyone seemed quite thrilled with how it tasted. We also heard fantastic things about the size and amount of food on the charcuterie board. The restaurant has a bit more of an intimate setting which allowed us to hear rave reviews from everyone about their meals! The atmosphere is really quite pleasant and following dinner we were able to go for a nice little walk around some of the trails.

I took my mom to the restaurant here for a Mother’s Day brunch, I have to say it was the best meal I have ever had. They have a top notch chef. It was Buffet style, with a wide variety to choose from and everything was delicious. They also had an omelet station. Where are you could get your omelet made the way that you like. I totally recommend taking your loved ones or your friends to this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

My friend stayed in a room here and it was quite lovely. It was very tidy and clean and well taken care of. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable, and it was easy to talk to them. I highly recommend eating here as the menu has some very good dishes! There is food for all types here.

The rooms are nice and clean. Beautiful grounds, they really have done a nice job on this place. The food was really good. One of the best burgers I've had in awhile.

We had a lovely meal of the best strip steak my husband has had for a year. Medium rare cooked perfectly! I tried the bruschetta and beet teriyaki and it was amazing. We will be back for prime rib!!!!!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Schott’s Lake. I booked a room for myself for 3-nights so I could hide away and catch up on some work. I wanted a place with a fireplace to keep me cozy and a restaurant to keep me fed and I didn’t think I would find something in such a quiet rural setting. It was perfect.

I booked a fireplace room in the motel for Friday to Sunday night. I was pleasantly surprised at how well priced the room was and that there weren’t any hidden resort fees or unexpected charges. When I arrived, check in was very simple. The room was so comfortable and the temperature was perfect. I decided to treat myself to a nap and that has to be the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was hard to crawl out of bed and go down to the restaurant which is a short walk away. The grounds and view are spectacular in the winter.

I had the fish and chip special Friday night, the prime rib special Saturday night, breakfast Sunday morning and takeout Sunday night. I have zero complaints about the food. I couldn’t finish supper either night. The portions are great. Breakfast was by far my favourite. The prices were very reasonable. I have no regrets. I will definitely be back for the food and probably another weekend away for some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

Celebrated an anniversary with a nice meal at The Kitchen at Schott’s Lake. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was great! A lovely location! Would visit again!
