Mercado Municipal de Pinheiros

Great place for groceries, drinks, fruits, vegetables and great new restaurants! There are many options from ceviche, to pizza, to hamburgers, to local rice-and-beans-and-meat. Great place to buy draft beer, wines, nuts, cheese and so on. It has been remodeled recently. The surroundings have also had a wonderful improvement. A nice place to visit every day except Sundays. A sunny Saturday is a must!

The GO TO place if you're looking for food (to eat on the go or to cook later).

The sellers are great here and there's a ton of choice from fresh vegetable to meat.

Everything is priced excellently and there is even a great little pastel (sort of like an empanada) place at the back of the market (outside).

We'll worth checking that out for sure!

The Mercado Pinheiro is a great small market where you can also have a good lunch. On the ground floor there is many great choice of shops with spices and food. There is also shops of brazilian product The ATA shop where you can find many presents to take back (Tonka beans from Amazonia, chilly oil, small feijoa, ... ) . On the first floor : many restaurant for quick but good and fresh lunch. Crowded and lively place. Not full of tourist like mercado municipal !!

Eat at Mocato get wine from next door and go visit ata.

A good market with a great variety of fruits and vegetables. Also a nice place to eat.

I came here out of curiosity. It's a small market with 2 floors. In the ground floor there's grocery shops: fruits & vegetables, cheeses, stuff you can buy by grams or kilo, and the toilets. The 1st floor has the meat shops and a cafe and a few great restaurants. Local people come here for lunch. Prices in the ground shops are good. Definitely worth checking it out. If I lived permanently here I'd be a regular customer

Looking for buying fresh fruits, meat or fish? This is the second most amazing public market in São Paulo( I believe that the first is the District Market downtown). It is also a great place to grab a bite for a fast lunch.
It’s not super crowded, it is kind of small, but good diversity of products and accessible prices.

This is an extremely cute market. Small, pleasant, clean and full of energy. It's a bit hip cause it is not like your regular market, some might say it is a bit for the elite. But this place has some really good Cafe and extremely fresh food. Places to see and explore are Mocoto Cafe, Alex Atala's (yes, your read that right) products of ethnic Brazilian origin. I love this place and the vibe.

This is an excellent place to have lunch , lots of option and they have one of the better Pizzas in Sao Paulo,. You can buy meat , fish, vegetables, spices etc etc a place that has existed since 1910!!!

Place close to main attractions in the city. It is easy to reach by the subway. At the market you can find terrific good food, local draft beer, regional cuisine. Worth trying. :)

Smaller than Lapa and downtown with good selection and delicious restaurants.

Drink a Mocotó Beer and visit Instituto Atá! Great place!!

Sweet market in a non tourist area, packed with locals. Best prices in a 3 mile walking radius. The upper deck has awesome restraunts and the butchers section is as close to local talent as you will find. Faria Da Lima metro gets you within 5 minutes walking distance. To be sure, there are nicer newer, more hip places for the jet-setting expat community to shop, and post on youtube but if you want authentic Brazilian community store and great prices, this is the place fer ya. Tell em joe sent ya.
