This was a great place to try local food and see a stunning building with great stained glass windows. The restaurants have excellent sandwiches and you can easily find a table upstairs if you’re looking to have a seat. The fruit is overpriced and the fruit vendors are pretty aggressive. We managed it by trying some samples and instead of buying at the inflated prices, we simply gave them some money. That seemed to work and everybody won. :)

The Mercado Municipal de São Paulo is a vibrant marketplace known for its diverse array of fresh produce, spices, and local specialties. Among its culinary highlights, the mortadella sandwiches are a must-try. The generous portions of savory mortadella, coupled with the market's lively atmosphere, create a delightful gastronomic experience that captures the essence of São Paulo's food culture.

Interesting place to have great lunch and try several fruits that you won’t easily find in other markets and even other countries.
Worth totally to visit!

Awesome place to visit. Lots of cold cuts, cheese, bacalhau, fruits and much more goodies to buy. Huge sandwiches, pastéis and several other dishes. Worthwhile to visit. While visiting we stopped by Hocca Bar and had some yummy food and drinks.

It was exactly as expected, especially after reading all the reviews. The fruit vendors are a little aggressive, but they there was one nice one that just wanted us to taste things that seem like. We went upstairs to Mortadella Brazil, and absolutely loved our sandwich.

Recommend to come here for a quick lunch and a drink. Nice place and very safe. You can park your car outside and pay some random lady 10R$ so she will make sure that your car is safe.

Home of the world famous Mortadela Sandwich from São Paulo, best in town. Of course, you'll find a wide range of products, from fruits, vegetables, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, etc, etc. Lots of places to eat at the first floor, but I strongly recommend going to the mezzanine, not only a much nicer environment (away from the hustle and bustle of ground floor) but I believe the table service is way better as well as the food. Surroundings are not what I would call the safest place on earth, so be careful in and out of the market.

This place has a lot of food options, fruits and meat. For safety reasons you should use Uber to get here.

An incredible experience to visit - the traders were friendly, the prices are fair, and the food is delicious. It's also a great place to hang out, especially on the first floor overlooking the market aisles.

Interesting place to visit while in São Paulo! Lots of fruit, meat, cheese stalls. The second level has about 5-10 restaurants. It’s very colorful, busy & has a variety of scents in the air because of all the meat, fish, cheeses sold there. Like most places in São Paulo - it would be helpful to know a few phrases in Portuguese before going there cause not many people speak anything else. It’s located in a very busy area. We were told to take care of our phones by our Uber driver who dropped us there. We tried the famous mortadella sandwich at Bar Do Mane and it was really good especially with the house sauces, but my favorite dish was the croquette de carne seca - it tasted like deep fried & seasoned corn beef.

It's always a good experience here. Great food and great shopping,
If you do not want to buy something, just walk away from the vendors, they will not follow you

Top! This was my first time here. Variety of fruits, nuts, meats, cheeses and personas. Lol. I’d recommend you go and experience it at least one time. Sellers are aggressive but that’s what makes this an experience.
For those that love to explore, I wondered out 2 blocks and grabbed a street hotdog. It was safe. Police surveillance in the area.

Buzzing market surrounded by more stands outside. Very busy over the weekend. Upstairs you’ll find many restaurants offering Brazilian food.
Most places will offer you fresh fruit to try, dried cod and cervesas.

Great market, super chaotic, but well-organized with high-quality restaurants and shops. Pork sandwiches, spices, cheese and dairy, butchers, fishmongers, desserts, fruit salads, wine and beer. Not diluted by souvenir shops. Very packed, but well-worth the experience.

Very nice place, for fruit and meat options really good. Specially for breakfast or lunch Mane is amazing place. Lots of varieties for meat lovers. Also at the end of bazaar, you find a brewery, he has really nice choices for beers. You can spend a day easily here. Out side of this market you can find almost everything at shops but not high quality and of course very reasonable prices

Neat spot. Nice place to try some exotic (by tourist standard) fruits but be aware how much you may be compelled to purchase! If the Hocca Bar upstairs is too crowded, they have a smaller stand on the main floor that is less busy with a lot of the same stuff.
