Chateau Copsa - Winery & Hotel

Everything was great! The room was very nice, big and clean. The food was lovely, but a bit expensive and a very small menu, which is understandable. But the greatest was the wine - specially the wine tasting with Stephen. He explained a lot of things about the wine and wine making, which was very interesting!

A beautiful place with very friendly and hospitable owners. The wines are superb, but you definitely have to try the aniseed brandy/Schnaps/ракия. Highly recommended. However, do not come with your Lamborghini or Ferrari, as the last mile to the chateau is not in the best condition. I suspect this is on purpose, to keep away backpacks or not very high net worth individuals.

Chateau Copsa is a beautiful place with 360 degrees panoramic view of the Balkan mountain range. You can watch the sunset/sunrise from your room depending on which side it is facing. We had a wine tasting session with Stefan that we were increadibly impressed with. He is so knowledgeable about wine and really knows how to pick the guests’ interests.

This place is magical. Arrived after sunset to the beautifully lit up chateau Staff are incredibly friendly and fun. Stefano held an amazing wine tasting for us - even after I think he was supposed to go home. Breakfast was lovely. Views of the main chateau and bunnies hopping around. Food in the restaurant was overcooked but everything else was so nice, we can overlook it. Will be back.

Rooms are with nice design and clean, the restaurant offers great home wines, green yard with rabbits, birds and donkey. It's our favorite romantic place since long time but this year we went with a baby and it was a nice surprise how careful the stuff was to the kid.

We just visited the winery today and had the ‘Rubi’ wine tasting by Stephan. He could not have been a better host to us, made us feel very welcome and expertly explained all about the wines we were tasting and more!

If you want to have a wine tasting in Bulgaria, I would strongly recommend Copsa winery!

They quality of the product and the friendliness and expertise of local staff would be tough to match anywhere in the world!

we stopped around lunch time to have a look at the estate and to check the wines. The receptionist arranged for another staff member to bring us to the wine cellar for a tour and some tastings. Then we had a very delicious lunch at the restaurant: fantastically prepared porcini mushrooms (manatarki) and other yummy local specialties.

it was a bit messy at the end as we wanted to buy a bottle of wine and there was only one at the reception but not any more int he cellar. However we are very happy we got the last one from the red "5ve", which is an excellent red wine and from which we ordered a box few months later.

we havent slept at the property, but the restaurant was furnished with a lot of good taste and comfortable furniture.

A charming little hotel near Karlovo, surrounded by vines and roses. They make their own wine here which must be tried, the rooms have everything you need and are spacious. The shower also has good pressure.
The restaurant has an ample menu selection, the staff are professional and friendly (especially Nancy).

Great vineyard located in the middle of nowhere with an amazing view on Stara Planina. The hotel offers you different room options and the design itself was very unique. The food and the wine was amazing and almost everything was locally produced. The Spa area is also nice but could be cosier. Overall the staff was attentive and made sure that we enjoyed our stay.

The Chateau is an amazing hidden gem! We stayed for the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of the place! The interior is very modern and cozy, great breakfast choice, the staff is polite and friendly. The Spa at the Maison hotel was a bit small however it was not crowded. We had dinner at the Castle restaurant and the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend the place for a weekend getaway!

Great place to stay. Wine tasting was excellent. However the restaurant had a very limited menu. Food was cooked well though. The wine was superb so we had to bring a few bottles home with us 😊😊

Lovely place! We had a great time, enjoying the wine, the food, the pool, the massage/spa, the staff, +++. I’ll gladly recommend this to anyone on vacation in Bulgaria!

We had a great time in this Chateau. The hotel rooms located near a small new building castle like (high end restaurant with wine tasting meals). The have kids playroom, also outside playground, but unfortunately they charge extra payment for the baby crib. Great breakfast! Good second restaurant of the hotel. Recommend place to stay

We were on a bike tour of the rose valley and this was a vineyard we visited on our last biking day...Saving the best until last! The wine this vineyard produces is very very good. We all bought several bottles - we would have bought more if space allowed!! The staff were friendly, helpful and informative and were generous with the tastings which I really liked. I only wish I could have spent longer here, but I think I will be back

We have visited a lot of wineries but this place is unique. We are fascinated by the quality of the wines, food and the confort of the hotel. Surrounded by wine yards and sunflowers the atmosphere is fantastic. But what will make us come again is the attitude and the exceptional wine experience and tasting done by Stefan. A very professional wine expert with a delicate and friendly approach! Thank you Stefan we will definitely come again!

Every single time that I come here, I feel special. Place is amazing. I don't know why the road has been not maintained. Kitchen is just amazig. There is no contaminated air comming inside from the kitchen. The food is extremely delicious. So you can leave yourself in the masterchefs hands. Although that there is everything you could imagin of this kind of place, I personally think that a parking lot is still needed. With these price tags, you might know which kind of people visit this kind of places. For me it was experience to leave the car in the grass, just like that.

Beatiful place surrounded by mountains, grapevines and field of sunflowers. Service and food were very good and the room we stayed in was spacious, modern and clean. It is a great place to experience some great food, wine and relax at the pool.

We have just returned from Chateau Copsa where we stayed 3 days for the Rose festival. This event was beautifully organized and we enjoyed it very much. The food was absolutely delicious, the rooms were very clean and nice, breakfast in the rose field was memorable and so were dinners. We recommend the package for the Rose festival to anyone who would like to know more about Bulgarian roses.

Really enjoyed the place. Great wine and service. Relaxing atmosphere and nature surrounding everywhere around you. Blends of self-produced wine are just fantastic. Both for home bottles of the best one for me - Stradivarius red wine. The room - Merlo we stayed in was clean cosy and warm. The breakfast was so perfect- had from fruits to all kind of bakery stuff.
