Starosel Wine & Spa Complex

Beautiful quiet location. Perfect for relaxation. If you love wine and a relaxing spa this is the place. Some small other hints, restaurant food is more than good, it’s fantastic. The restaurant is huge and accommodates large amount of people without feeling cramped. The wood features inside, makes you feel warm and in touch with nature. I highly recommend

We visited and stayed in a two bed apartment. With 4 kids we found the apartment spacious and comfortable. Views were also nice.
Facilities were great, although for the price, I would have liked a coffee machine of some sort in the room. If you fancy a nice coffee early in the morning, you'd be out of luck.
There were two operating restaurants and both restaurants served excellent food and the service was great.
Yes, the wine tour is a bit of a joke, but it was included in our package and I wasn't expecting much anyway.
Pool area was clean and the kids loved the small pool area.
We did not visit the open pool area.
My wife also booked a massage while visiting and was really happy with the service.
Would I visit again, yes I would.

We've stayed here multiple times over the 6 years we've lived in Bulgaria, and it just gets better and better with everything they do! Comfortable beds, clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff, saunas and relaxing pools with jets, help you really get away and melt the stress away

Overall, we had a wonderful time when we last visited. The staff was friendly and the spa is just superb! I do recommend making a reservation for either of the restaurants and for a massage if you’re visiting on weekend days.
The pavement in the complex is not very suitable for children’s strollers.
The wi-fi was a bit weak, but eventually we managed to setup our baby monitor and could enjoy dinner with our friends.
The floor in the apartments on the ground floor is quite cold which could be a problem for your baby/child as the cot’s mattress is really low, just above it. When I picked my daughter up for her night feeding, her nose, ears and cheeks were cold (the only parts of her body not covered. I should’ve brought her a hat).
The kitchen in the room was pretty well equipped - we could wash the bottles and prepare the formula as needed.
Last but not least - this place is pet-friendly which was a prerequisite for us when we decided whether we’d visit. But they only host guests with dogs up to 15 kg.

One of our favourite places to relax, about two hour drive from Sofia, with electric stations on the way, so u can charge ur baby Tesla and I was surprised that they have a charging station inside the complex for 20lv per charge. I can write a long review, but you better try it.

Everything was awesome, with the exception of the SPA. I would give the 5 stars to the chef of the restaurant Filip! Fenomenal food, personal approach, and appreciation!
Spa services could be much more to be improved, with suggestions of probably a new and better management! Oo, and the cleaning ladies are knocking on the door in the morning so loud to ask if we need a towel,.. there is not a sign for the door, DO NOT DISTURB ! I think some people are sleeping later in the morning and to be awakened because someone wants to finish their job as early as possible, it is not right! Oo, and the wine tour, the guides are talking to the guests in a way that they know everything, and in front of them are idiots that don't have a clue of it! Talking in a way of "Scooling" type it is not appropriate for a service that people are paying for!

This is the perfect place to relax your body and mind - wonderful SPA center, spacious and clean rooms, wonderful food and great wine. Highly recommend.

A great place for a family stay. Comfortable rooms, great and very warm spa center and delicious food. During the weekend is overcrowded.

I love Starosel and the complex. Haven't been there for ages, but it's astonishing the way that they turned it into. We visited friends there only for a night. The spas, swimming pools, service,food, location I haven't got words for it. Highly recommended for a lovely break away from the busy Black Sea and the big cities in Bulgaria. We'll definitely stay for longer next summer

Great spa and vine center, great service, friendly staff. Spa is really good. Wine tour is must to see. Food was great, lots of choices for different taste. Wines cart is awesome and wine is really good. 4 star rating because I was during Easter, and either Bulgaria is Orthodox country, thehotel wasn't have food for people who fast, you need to learn what fodd can you eat. Hope they will pay attention next time

Best food ever top location and everything

Awesome place with fresh and delicious food! Scenery is amazing and the gardens all around the complex are beautiful. You can relax in the gigantic spa area with a couple of swimming pools with mineral water at different temperature. Staff is very kind and rooms are big and comfortable. Very clean as well.

the Thracian residence offers space and an eclectic style that move you to the past in the most pleasant way. Spacious, comfortable rooms with spectacular views from the window and terrace. The pools have warm mineral water and many different jacuzzi areas. The view from the terrace of the indoor pool is charming.

Beautiful and relaxing family place. A bit pricey, but overall worth it.
Excellent food, clean and spacious rooms, natty SPA zone, could work a bit on the service in the restaurant (smile and positive demeanour could do magic!) 🤗

Amazing place! Good food and nice atmosphere! SPA area is great.Winery can offer you some good local wine on a correct price level. Summer time looks more fun! Big room and comfortable bad. Half board meals include all kinds of food!👌👌👌

Excellent winery and spa...family orientated with kids in mind....excellent.

We had a wonderful time staying in the hotel, which was clean and had friendly staff. I particularly liked how much effort was made in creating the Bulgarian Revival atmosphere, how well-maintained the gardens were, and of course, the free-roaming peacocks :)

Everything was perfect with one small exception. We loved the pools, spas, the breakfast and dinner (included with our room) were absolutely fantastic, with many choices of freshly cooked food. There was even live music at dinner. The location is very relaxing, surtounded by nature, with only the sounds of birds and cow bells.
Theexception was the cervice at registration. We were met by a young receptionist who, literally, did not know what she was doing. After registeting I went down to the reception to ask two questions. Not only did she not know the answers and had to repeatedly ask her colleague, but also she was quite rude because she kept looking at her cell phone while talking with me. Not professional at all! This happened in the afternoon of June 30 2022 if the hotel's management is interested.
