eXtreme Bulgaria

This was super fun! We've ridden ATVs a few times in the past, but we have never been explained and trained in the way Atanas did it. He is a great professional and a very cool dude. Thank you again.

It was awesome the experience with paragliding! One of the best experiences travelling. I really recommend it! The view and the feeling flying is amazing! Bulgaria is an amazing place, one of it's gems is the experience of Extreme Bulgaria with Atanas as he makes the adventure truly unique.

He doesn't just provide all sorts of activities you can sometimes only dream about, but as a host/trainer he makes these activities so much fun with his enthusiasm and chilled nature.

We highly recommend at least one type of amazing activity even if it's just to meet Atanas! We can't wait to meet again.

Spent a week here learning to paraglide. Atanas was a great instructor and managed to teach me so much in such a short time (high-altitude solo flights by the end of the week). He has a lot of activities on offer, I highly recommend the paragliding!

I had my first ever experience of tandem paragliding with eXtreme Bulgaria. It was also my only one so far, so I have no comparison with competition, but I found it really excellent!
This company is run by a former jet pilot who now lives with his family and horses in an authentic traditional Balkan village, so it is possible, and worth, to visit in connection with your chosen program. As a pilot, he has the best knowledge and information sources to figure out where and when will be the most favourable weather for paragliding. During my visit they flew from Rodopi mountais and at the Balkan (Stara Planina) mountains. Apart from gliding, other activities are available, like horse riding, etc... It's not just a business, and it is not only the sport activities that may make your experience with eXtreme Bulgaria memorable. The owner, Atanas, is also an interesting and wise person to spend some time with. Plus he can sing traditional Bulgarian tunes for you or take you to a little-known hotspring near his village. His wife and children are also cool folks.
If you want to come to the village by public transport, there is a bus between Plovdiv and Karlovo that stops at the junction of Ivan Vazovo. However, depending on the itinerary and plans you can also arrange getting picket up by Atanas on the way to the agreed gliding destination.

Great paragliding experience with Atanas. Easy to plan, communicating with him by email, and picking us up from our hotel at Plovdiv himself. Would contact him again for sure if I ever revisit Bulgaria.

We spent a week learning to pilot paragliders here with Atanas. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only is Atanas a great instructor but a damned interesting chap as well.

Once in a life time experience! Paragliding, kayaking, horse riding, quad driving, climbing and caving. there is nothing you cant do with extreme bulgaria! But most important you will be not treaten as a customer, they will treat you as a good old friend!

Ivan and his team provided a great 'real-life' experience of living in a traditional village in rural Bulgaria. Wonderful and dedicated people in all what they offer!

Excellent ATV Experience plus other extreme activities. The ATV route is through the forest and it is like a fairytale! Highly recommended!
