Hotel Rila

Hotel is great. Excellent value for money.
Pros: great food (breakfast and dinner) with huge variety. Everything was tasty.
Best location. All facilities are great (pool, spa, games room, lobby, restaurants, ski).
Cons: the hotel plans are strange. For example, restaurant is on floor 1, but you can only go through the lobby, not through floor 1. The lifts to the rooms is at the edge of the hotel, not near the lobby. Not all service providers are always welcoming.

Bottom line: recommended. Worth the money and I would go back again.

The perfect location! Chair lifts, shops, bars & restaurants all within minutes of the hotel. Ski hire and storage in the hotel. Breakfast has plenty of tasty food to choose from and the breakfast room is spacious (no queuing). Roof bar has really nice light bits and drinks with views of the slopes. Room was clean and very comfortable bed. Spa and thermal area was ideal after a day of skiing. Would recommend if you are looking for the best location!!!

Great location, great breakfast, rooms were clean and had a great view of the slope from our balcony. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Loved going in the spa (included in room cost) every night after skiing.

When we returned with our kids we will be staying again.

I loved the hotel. Very nicely located. It has been refurbished lately and has very cosy rooms with all the necessary amenities. The spa is very popular and worth visiting after a hard day skiing. If I have to be picky, the only negative is the lack of sufficient sofas for the guests to sit and play games after dinner.

Great service from the stuff at guest relations cant fault it, lovely people at the lounge and spa facility. The only two aspects i didnt quite like is the positions of the raditators in our room being too close to the balcony window and the other being the ski gear depot times being a little too short, if the times were 1 hour after the lifts closed it would have been much better in my opinion :)

Just the choice of Christmas design was far too not eco with this stretch plastic film and plastic pieces. It is good for the politics of the hotel to start thinking in a more carbon reducing way. Also the cosmetics in the rooms could be better, than these poisonous staff they provide. The spa center is good.

I’m a single dad here with my daughter and I’m so glad I chose Hotel Rila. My daughter loved the pool, our room was lovely and large, and the food at the buffet was surprisingly good with high quality ingredients, loads of variety and lots of interesting local dishes. Great location, well run and clean. We will be back. Ps. The ice cream in the bar is outstanding.

Fantastic hotel that is ski in ski out of. Unfortunately the snow this year does not allow it.
Food very variety and something to eat for everyone.
Although pricey, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Our family, consisting of two adults and two children, one of whom is autistic, had an unforgettable experience during our second visit to Hotel Rila through Crystal Ski Holidays. The decision to return was effortless, thanks to the exceptional facilities and professional staff at the hotel. The food consistently met a high standard, with half board options, and the choices for breakfast and dinner were excellent. Additionally, the amenities for children, including the swimming pool and spa, were top-notch. Crystal Ski Holidays provided seamless communication and ensured safe transportation to and from the hotel, making the booking process hassle-free. Our holiday package, which included ski hire, lift passes, and ski lessons with Borosport Ski School, was incredibly valuable. The ski instructors were highly skilled and made our lessons both professional and productive. Moreover, the location is fantastic, with the walk to the gondola taking about seven minutes. However, it's worth noting that queues can be quite big in the morning. Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Rila, Crystal Ski Holidays, and Borosport Ski School. We're already eagerly anticipating our next visit! Plus, our room facing the ski slopes with a balcony provided breathtaking views on sunny days.

This is clearly the nicest hotel in the area. Only had drinks here and the service is very slow but the atmosphere is amazing OMG the views are fantastic

Excellent value as food is good quality, location is unrivalled and everything you need to ski is in the hotel. 25m pool and spa is a bonus and great to use post ski.

Great Hotel right next to a ski slope, has 4 saunas, a swimming pool and ski, snowboard hire in the basement. Food excellent, bar OK

Good size beds, easy to access ski lifts, breakfast good, dinner good, HK is good, cafe at the entrance good, parking available which we used, price of good by the way. The only thing is that at the cafe or room service does have pizza at the menu. Kids loves pizza. So always went out for pizza.

We will come back again

We spent the 2nd New Year’s Eve at Rila hotel in Borovets with stunning views over the slopes. The location was perfect for ski enthusiasts, providing easy access to the ski areas. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was attentive. Even if we had a small problem, the Guest Manager solved it and made our stay memorable. The on-site amenities and cozy atmosphere added to the overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for a memorable winter getaway!

A very nice hotel that has a wonderful view over the mountains. The accommodation and the services are very good, we highly recommend it!

It was the second time we have used the hotel for team-building and we were very happy with the facility and the service. The rooms are renovated and have all the needed conveniences. There is plenty of space in front of it for team-building games. There
Are a number of restaurants, night bar, everything was convenient for the fast service of 300 people. The staff is friendly. I also appreciate that they shipped me the forgotten charger.

10/10 for housekeeping ladies who are very friendly and nice and kept the hotel always clean.
Food at restaurant is tasty but expensive for what you get. Breakfast has a good variety of food which are mostly good.
Regarding the spa is medium size and clean, spa receptionists are very welcoming and professional, massage from Iliana is a must as she's got strong hands and good level of professionalism, but massage from Nickolay is the best one in Borovets! Professional, perfect pressure and good technique, he'll take care of you for sure.
Position of hotel is great as it's right in front of slopes and nearby there's restaurants and ski schools. The hotel staff (waiters and receptionists are not super friendly, they barely smile.. which is not great)
Best restaurants are in order:
-Victoria Bear (burgers, pizzas and traditional bulgarians are amazing),
-Alpin (best dishes are two traditional bulgarians of mixed meats, vegetables and garlic herbes potatoes),
-Green King (mist try garlic bread and traditional bulgarian mix of meat and vegetables).
I'd suggest book in advance in order to get a room for good price, otherwise you'll end up spending quite a bit.
