Hunters ski school Borovets

Great school for learning to snowboard! I was travelling from Ireland, so I needed all the gear (including snow pants and jacket). It was so convenient that I could rent everything at the same location. I booked online and paid by card when I arrived, which made it a smooth check-in. Highly recommend booking online beforehand. Christian was an amazing teacher and was so patient with me. Overall it was a great experience.

We’ve just returned from a week of skiing in borovets and would like to thank Bobby for his patience and efforts in teaching my husband and I to ski. I was quite nervous and Bobby did an amazing job of putting me at ease and had me skiing a few red runs by the end of the week. My husband had only ski’d a few times previously and by the end of the week, he was skiing some black runs thanks to Bobby's help. We also hired equipment from hunters and couldn’t fault the whole process from booking.

Very helpful office staff. Recommended getting all ski needs here (pass, lessons, equipment). Small equipment store at front, large warehouse at back. Be sound and the equipment lads will crack and warm up, very professional with equipment once you communicate with them.

Yuri Tomov is a gem of a man and an excellent Ski coach. Yuri gave time to beginners, wisdom to advanced skiers, put safety first and did not give up on no hope'r's.

From the moment we walked into the ski school to a week later when we left, Peter and Ryman couldn’t have been more helpful. They were very welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. The service was fantastic. They were patient with me as a first timer and showed me exactly how the boots should be fitted correctly. They even helped me get the boots off each day when I returned. The equipment was fantastic. We were even given drinks by the guys at the end of our day. I would highly recommend using Hunters ski school. Sandra is an amazing instructor and was kind, helpful and had a great sense of humour. Without her we wouldn’t have had the best skiing trip ever. Thank you to everyone at Hunters ski school. You all made our first trip so enjoyable and we will not hesitate to return.

After a few years of boarding, I decided to have a go at learning to ski.
The kit was competitively priced, in good condition and the ski boots were actually quite comfortable (I don't know why my daughter had been moaning about ski boots for the past 15 years!!!).
The guys in the shop can sometimes appear a bit gruff, but they are very helpful.
The best thing about Hunters was our ski instructor, Yuri. He was patient, friendly, funny and really good company. He was able to tailor the lesson to target each students ability, so that he got the best out of all of us. By day 4, I was skiing proficiently on a black run.
My daughter has been skiing 15 years, but next time we come back, I will pay for her to have lessons with Yuri. He really is superb!

Our experience with hunters ski school was very positive. We booked the ski pack online and it was good value for money. The instructor Neal was helpful and patient and the equipment served us well.

Fantastic ski school! My daughters- 9 years old fell in love with skiing. Their instructor Daniela was simply fabulous. They enjoyed very much skiing on the slopes with her! I recommend the professional attitude of the whole stuff towards clients and the overall experience with Hunters ski school!

Me and my boyfriend had a fantastic experience with Hunters ski school. It was my first time skiing. The day I arrived I got a tutor from another school who was extremely unprofessional, made me walk for half of our lesson, smoked and couldn't really be bothered teaching a beginner (his words to a colleague).
So decided to try Hunters the next day and it was the best decision ever. We had 3 teachers in 5 days, all really good and attentive, but spend most of our time with Yuri. Managed to ditch the plow after 1 lesson, and slowly started doing slopes that I thought I wouldn't during our stay. We both improved a lot and had loads of fun, and felt comfortable doing some red slopes by ourselves by the end of it, which I did't even dream of at the start. Totally recommend.
We also got our equipment from there, which was also really good as far as I could tell.

We used Hunters for ski hire, very effective place, equipment in good condition at intermediate level, can't comment on advanced. The shop is close to the lift area and is never very busy at drop off or pick up unlike some of the bigger hire shops. The 2 staff, George and his mate, were good with the kids no hassle with my 4 year old helping behind the counter...

Learned to board in three mornings, excellent tuition by Ika. Board and boots were fine (boots a little smelly) - we didn’t pay for first season stuff and not yet good enough on a board to tell the difference. Great value package - €156 for 3 days hire, pass, lessons & insurance. Also hired skis for the first couple of afternoons to get some runs in, again not brand new but only £22 for two days so fine for us. Ski hire guy was a bit grumpy but everyone else really friendly and fun.
Borovets is a great place to learn as its great value, and you don’t feel like you’re missing out too much when you’re on the nursery slopes. For more experienced skiers/boarders a weekend is perfect but you’d probably get bored in a week.

Just finished three two-hour 1:1 beginner / intermediate lessons with ace instructor VANYA. Many thanks Vanya for your patience, teaching and for pitching the lessons at just the right level. My skiing has improved immeasurably. Great fun, highly recommended!

Had such a great experience with hunters ski school. We had 3 days ski school with the Ina the ski instructor. She was a really good and patient with us. We were really happy to have her for the 3 days.

For the people and families who love snow and enjoy skiing it's a beautiful place. The weather in March were nearly heating but there was alot of snow. The ski slopes is perfect for beginners. There are a lot of Bulgarian taverns, bars and plenty of beautiful hotels.

It was one of my best week for me and my wife and my son 5 years old first time skiing , manage to ski from day one with the fantastic instructor Oggi , he is more then a professional instructor, he became my best friend, when I go to Borovets I always ask for Oggi , thanks for all. Will see you soon again

Friendly and helpful service when picking up your ski equipment, Rumen and Pitar can't help you enough. Highly recommend.!!! This is the 2nd year we have been to Bulgaria skiing and we will be back again next year.

A number of years ago when i first met him i could barely stand up on my board but with his patience and expert instructing over time upon each yearly visit i have made i can now confidently come down the mountain from the top having great fun safely, this i never thought i would be able to do ever
Along with Svilen being a great guy to get to know all of his family are lovely people as well and run Hunters Restaurant which serves the BEST food in the resort and is a must place to eat if you want delicious food please do not leave without going there

Very friendly staff. We arrived a day late due to unforeseen circumstances and yet they were happy to give us one to one ski school sessions as compensation.
