I think it is a place everyone needs to visit, especially if you are doing battlefield tours. The small piece or sanctuary during unimaginable horror and run by a really amazing man. It really is a must see place.

Visited the museum and house. Was blown away by the hospitality and free tea,(a donation was given, but no pressure). Friendly atmosphere by a Scots lady who was so welcoming. A good place for so many reasons and so very sad too. I left with a tear in my eye.

Lovely WW1 location run and maintained by fantastic volunteers.
A great spot to catch some R&R during a tour of battlefields and war memorials.
Watch out for Benji the cat.

Our visit was limited to a day, and we did not spend the night in the guesthouse, but it was a very beautiful place, and I would like to stay in a room for my next visit. The glimpse I caught of the interior of one of these rooms really reminded me of the old photos.

We did have the possibility to try out the food that the restaurant was serving, and it was very much to my tastes. (I hope nobody will make the mistake to try the Vegemite, I almost died) The scones were also very delicious.

The museum wasn't large, but it was very interesting to be ae to see the history of the house in front of our eyes. So many great trinkets are to be found in there. If you want to visit the digout, please mind the ceiling, I almost hit my head, and I ain't even that tall.

The house itself is accessible, but us a bit far from the train station, so it does take a while to get there.

Overall a very nice place.

We visited for the first time this week. The museum was brilliant, so much history. The young man on the reception was so helpful in giving a brief history of Talbot House. I would definitely recommend a visit here to everyone to see a different view of WW1.

I loved this place! The staff is kind, the location is great, and the beds are comfy. I will warn that a house cat comes and goes so if anyone in your group is allergic, it may not be the best place.

A great story and a lovely place to visit. The museum is excellent and the house itself straight out of the early 1900's, you can imagine the troops coming here for some well earned R&R. I found the place very calming, unfortunately due to knee problems I was not able to get up to the chapel at the top of the house, but friends took images and video for me. I know I will be going back here, one of those places that when you find it, you feel the need need to go back again.

A truly lovely place with a host of fascinating stories intriguingly told by a passionate custodian. The remarkable legacy left but it's founders lives on in the staff who welcome one and all.

Amazing chance to experience WW1. Not only the environment but also the atmosphere - visitors are treated to the same hospitality that soldiers were given all those years ago by Tubby Clayton and his team.
The garden is an oasis and the museums need a good five hours to do them justice. Their audiovisual stuff is superb.
Highly recommended that you stay as their B&B is excellent.

Very interesting Museum kept as it was as a place of refuge for soldiers during the War and the first club for an organisation that became TOCH. The stairs to the Chapel in the attic are little more than a ladder so not for the faint hearted.

Lovely staff, excellent service!
The house is a museum on its own and brings you back to the days of WW1. Bedrooms are simple, clean and have items from the old days which gives one the feeling that the original inhabitants just left. Great breakfast, delicious cake and pies and English Tea.
Look forward to return , one thing to take into account though:it is of of course and old wooden house, if you are easily disturbed by sounds at night then you could sleep less hours than what you are used too.
But even then, still fully recommended!
