They even made it fun for the kids.

Absolutely stunning amalgamation of traditional and contemporary. Great rooftop bar overlooking the hop field, amazing service, fantastic beers, great shop with lots of merchandise. Looking forward to testing the hotel too!

Really nice brewery and tour! The tour was great for the history of the brewery, but they focus less on how the beer is made compared to other breweries.. Incredibly cheap for what you get though.. 2 free beers at the end, and a beer package of 4 beers and a glass to take home! Definitely worth a visit if you love their beer!

Expansion to the Brewery in 2017, but no compromise in quality. Fun Brewery Tour with a tasting as well. St. Bernardus Abt. 12 one of my most favored beers. Delicious and strong. A must visit Brewery while in Belgium 🇧🇪. If traveling by car an easy drive from Brugge, Ghent and Brussels.

We went for a cycling trip in West Flanders and decided to stop here for a drink. I can positively say it is one of the best terraces I have ever been in my life. The rooftop bar terrace is new, modern and big. There is plenty of space and of course with a great beer menu. The waiters were super friendly, catering to our every need and even offered to take pictures and tell us about the way back to local city of Poperinge. Would come back for sure, best way to have a summer drink.

Great service, wonderful food and of course superb beer. New visitor experience has much more information than before though you obviously lose the personal touch of a guide

Awesome tour, awesome experience. The tour costs 12.50 and includes a 90 minute tour, 2 beer tastings (one of which you can choose yourself after doing the tour and learning about the beers), and a gift set consisting of 4 beers and a St. Bernardus glass, probably the best value for any tour in Belgium... not to mention the tour itself was great, ample parking, nice roof terrace where you can drink the second beer, etc. Many great reasons to visit this place!

5 Stars all the way! We were coming into town the morning of our tasting(biking ~5 miles to ththe brewery) and ran about 15 min late. As we pulled up a super nice guy recognized that we were late for the English tour and showed us where to meet the tour in progress. The best part was that once our tour guide(Ann) had the time to let the rest of the group explore on th or own for a few minutes, she filled us in on all we had missed! Such kind service and a great tour! €12.50 gets you a tour, tasting(two big pours), and a 4pack+glass to take away. Crazy good deal. Go to this place!

Good tour inside the old and new part of the brewery. They also tell the story on the history of it in a little video. And afterwards you can enjoy the great beers they have in Bar Bernard

Couldn't ask for more.
You can stay in the near by inn and enjoy the St Bernard beer there all day.

I am a huge fan of St Bernardus beer! In spite of difficult import restrictions in Canada, I have had the good fortune of being able to try almost all of the varieties this amazing brewery has produced, including the recent Anniversary Editions and even a bottle of the rare single batch Tokyo. It's all amazing and I personally consider the St Bernardus Christmas Ale to be the best beer ever produced anywhere.

Excellent Brewery Tour, very comprehensive. This brewery started when they received an exclusive licence to brew the Westvleteren beer on behalf of the St Sixtus abbey in 1952. Although they no longer have the licence they brew beers according to the original recipe including St Bernardus Abt 12 and 8. The brewery is clean, well organised and the best part is beer tasting at the end. Well worth a visit!

Big fan of St Bernardus' beer here. Just the journey to the place was idyllic. The countryside in Poperinge-Watou is fantastic, with mostly flat terrain, making it ideal for a bike ride. You get a full view of it from Bar Bernard atop the brewery, with its glass walls on all directions. Some St Bernardus labels are basically only found there at this point, and you can spend a whole day easily sitting back and enjoying the place.

The gift shop is also really nice, as you have your odd byproducts (like patee/liver spread made of their beer), along with all the fan gear you'd want. Still want to visit the place again with more time.

Good informative tour (in Dutch but graciously translated to English by the guide). Nice tasting afterwards and a quite generous gift.

One of the better ones. Forget Westvleteren, because there is nothing to see there, except tourists buying beer and an overcrowded terras. Here you get your money's worth 🙂
