Images from the Mardasson Memorial. Honoring the memory of American soldiers who were wounded or killed in the Battle of the Bulge. We should never forget. The museum was closed, but this monument brought tears to my sarcastic, cynical eyes. A great way to end our trip.

Impressive monument, with a breathtaking message. It also offers a full overview of Bastogne from the upper level, accessible by stairs.

Beautiful and respectful place to visit. I visit it twice now, and i can not even imagine what the allies did us. One of the best place for a tribute.

Wow. Super cool memorial. All US states are inscribed in English too... because the Allied Powers won the WW2. Yay!

The Mardasson Memorial in Bastogne is a deeply moving tribute to the heroes of World War II. Standing atop a hill, the monument's grandeur and symbolism are awe-inspiring. The museum exhibits offer a comprehensive and emotional journey through the Battle of the Bulge. The memorial's serene surroundings and panoramic views make it a place for reflection and remembrance. A must-visit for history enthusiasts and anyone seeking to honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom.

Enormous monument dedicated to the military men and women who fought for liberation. We walked around the entire monument and looked at each of the units. Be sure to visit when it's not windy-- the top may be closed. Gorgeous view of Bastogne from the top.

A rather simple but powerful memorial to the defenders of Bastogne and to the Transatlantic Alliance. Wonderful site definitely worth a visit along with the nearby War Museum.

Not much to say. It's a war memorial, and a good one at that. The inscription is touching, the details interesting and emotional, and it's in general just a powerful memorial.

Beautiful monument, I loved it. There's one museum next to it where you can see a brief story about the second world war. It's mostly focused in what happened the Ardennes and the audio guide is translated to multiple languages.

When I went there the weather was really windy so you might want to go there in summer.

Separated by states with a crypt in the rear lower quarter. Chimes at hourly times. The must see popular sight when in the area.

A fitting tribute to the USAs contribution and sacrifice to free Europe from Nazi domination and especially during the battle of the bulge.

A must see if you want learn more about the battle of the Bulge (December 1944 - January 1945). Monument is shaped as a five-pointed American star and the story of the battle is engraved on the walls. The location for this particular memorial is perfect, especially if you take the time to go the top of the memorial enjoying the panoramic view of the region.

Beautiful monument, in both construction and location, with commanding hilltop views. Unfortunately draped in scaffolding for renovation til the end of 2019, but still a mighty and evocative presence. Reminiscient of the Pennsylvania Memorial at Gettysburg in sheer scale.

It was a powerful experience to just happen to visit on the 75th anniversary. A beautiful memorial.

Visit anytime as it is a treat. Climb the stairs and visit all five points of the star to get a map of the battle in that direction. Read the story inside of the monument's columns to get an idea of the battle. Take a minute to consider everything before going to visit the wonderful town of Bastogne. This is a great starting or stopping point for any battlefield tours.
