This is an engineering public university only for the diploma students. This University is in gazipur. Its area isn’t so big but it has a good system for student halls, there is one ladies hall, dorms and staff quarters. There are EEE dept, CSE dept, CE, ME depts etc.

It is the only government institution to fulfill the dream of higher education for diploma engineers. The environment of this institution is very beautiful and pleasant. I hope the Bangladesh government will take steps to make more such government institutions to fulfill the dreams of diploma engineers.

I graduated from DUET (former BIT-Dhaka) and served different public and private engineering organizations in Bangladesh since 1997 through 2005. After that, I migrated to Canada as a permanent resident and completed post graduation (MEng and MASc) degrees in mechanical engineering and have been serving various reputed engineering organizations in Canada and the USA in different engineering roles including world renewed electric vehicle company Tesla. I have recommended DUET, who are eligible for study in undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

It is public university of Bangladesh situated in Joydebpur, Gazipur. It is one of the reputed Engineering University for the study of Engineering in Bangladesh. This university originated in 1980 as a Faculty of Engineering under the University of Dhaka. In June, 1986, under the name of Bangladesh Institute of Technology, Dhaka, the institute became an autonomous institution empowered to award degrees. From September 01, 2003 the Institute has started academic journey as a University named as Dhaka University of Engineering and technology, Gazipur. To meet the growing demand of computer technology and Textile sector, Department of Computer Science and Engineering was opened in 2000 and Department of Textile Engineering in 2006. To extend its capability in serving the country DUET, gazipur has opened more Departments, Architecture and Industrial & Production Engineering, in 2011. Till today, it has produced arround 7000 graduates and post graduates in different branches of Engineering and has established a good reputation all over the world for the quality of its graduates. The curricula of DUET, Gazipur address the regions practical needs, present and future, through undergraduate and graduate programs.

This is one of the engineering public university only for the diploma students. This University distance from Joydebpur bus stand, Railway Station & Bazar is half k.M. From bus stand & railway station you can come via richkas & brokars. This University areas isn’t so much big but It's a arrange complete University. This University is so much clean & beautiful. You must need to visit this University for gather knowledge. There have electronic & electrical engineering department, computer engineering, civil engineering,Mechanicals engineering & etc departments.

It's a place of dream for thousands of students.. this is only institute for diploma in engineering students to get higher studies..you can take bsc , msc degree from this institute. It's on joydeppur, gazipur. Dhaka Bangladesh. That's really a good institute of Bangladesh..

This is a unique Engineering University in Bangladesh where only diploma engineering completed student can get admitted. DUET also unique for it’s clean campus. Publicly smoking is prohibited here.
