Nirala Hotel and Restaurant

Nirala Hotel and Restaurant is in Mawa near Padma river. They are famous for Hilsha items. it was another great experience in nirala restaurant. The food was  really delicious!The Hilsha was really good and it was served with white rice, two different types of bhorta, fried begun and daal. The taste of the Hilsha was definitely worth the price. Hilsha egg fry was another lucrative item.People are coming here whole day and whole night with friends and family for hangout with relishing Hilsha fry and Bhorta.There cooking quality is way better than others specially their smashed hisha tail. Always take eggplant fry 🍆 it increases the taste as they fry with the fish in same oil.

Ps: Always bergain the price of fish, it applies on all of the shop around mawa ghat.

Whenever i visit mawa for Hilsha/Ilish i go to Nirala. Their staff are cordial and their cooking is really good. Vorta and other items are also very tasty.

Best place for mouth watering Hilsha Fry and "Lez Vorta". Their interior may not be flashy like the other ones but the food is absolutely delicious.

It’s different experience. From starting choose and buying Hilsha to watching to cook them in a live kitchen and dine in. Fish is super fresh and yummy. Fish is fried in mustard oil. But you have to buy mustard oil and fish separately.
Flavourful food (begun Vaja in mustard oil ,illish Lej vorta, illish fry and shrimp fry ).it’s a mouth watery Bengali cuisine.Fresh food good atmosphere makes this experience worthy. Staffs are good and friendly. They serve food with care. Give this place a try.. you will definitely have a good time and good food ..

We have only tried from this restaurant hence, cannot compare with the other ones at that region. But I can say, we have enjoyed there foods a lot. Those hilsha and the begun vaja (eggplant fry) was really good! They also provide alu vorta, ghono daal and onion mix. You can also chose which hilsha you want to have, they will cut that and fry it. Price is also reasonable.

To be honest,This is by far the best Hotel for hilsha in Mawa.

We went there to have lunch,
bargained a lot to have the best hilsha in limited budget.
We got a 900gm Hilsha in 750BDT.

when they served and we had the first bite of it,
trust me,
each of our 8 members absolutely loved it.

"Lej bhorta" was avarage though. besides, the fried brinjal was good.
A rice bowl cost 100bdt which was shared by 4people.

Overall had a good experience.
didn't regret at all.

All the foods and fishes were fresh. Good Environment for taking family members here. They Ac cabin. They have different type of BHORTA here, I recommand for CHINGRI BHORTA. That's really good in taste. Price are a bit high regarding their menu, But you have to bargain to get a good price.

One of the best lunch experience I had at Mawa. All the staffs are very well mannered and helpful. Most importantly the food was very good. We bought a hilsha and it was served in two different forms. Fried in mustard oil & also Shorshe Ilish. The tail part was given in form of bhorta. All the other dishes were amazing too. Highly recommended.
