Mawa Ferry Ghat

Took the boat ride around mighty Padma bridge. Didn't take the reseve boat, went on local, per head 80/-.
An enjoyable rode on the sunny evening.

Loved this place. The ferry terminal is still there and they have boats docked there to carry you near and under the Padma Bridge. You can have a great view from there. But be careful to take a boat that has enough life jackets in them.
Near the terminal there are lots of restaurants where you can eat lunch and dinner with items like Hilsha, shrimps and other items.

Now it's a hyped place, people goes there to enjoy the nice journey by road and to have fried hilsha. Some goes to see the padma bridge, some goes for boating and others.

Mawa Ferry Ghat offers a convenient and scenic way to cross the river. Efficient service, stunning views. Will suggest you to visit the place at night time to get the best view. You can see the Padma bridge view from here, apart from that if you are interested in taking a boat ride that's also possible here in Mawa ghat. You'll find different kinds of restaurants here as well for Ilish fry.

It was a nice experience to visit at Mawa ghat.... You can try Elish fish at Mawa ghat... But it's not that testy, as you will barely get Padma Elish there.... Also you can try Tollar... They will charge 100 tk/person & the Tollar will take you beneath of Padma bridge.....

Mawa, a place which i would love to highly recomandded for visit. Specially in a car drive. The foods are more than okay.

After Padma Bridge, This ferry ghat is nearly abandoned. But still you can enjoy the sunset at the bank of padma River.
And also there are lots of street food and also Ilish Fry...
You can enjoy all of these.....

It is a very beautiful place. In my opinion this place is best if you visit at night time. Otherwise you will miss the serenity of this place. By the way food is excellent whenever you come.
While ordering you will have to bargain to get the best offers. And, before finalizing the order please do visit other stalls to get an idea.

The Hilsha of the great Padma river found in mawa is the best part of mawa ferry ghat. Freshly fried hilsha prepared right before your eyes . Tastes great.

After crossing Padma setu you will reach here. The main attraction of the fantastic road trip to Mawa is to taste their fresh Hilsa which are caught in the Padma River. Mawa is the perfect place for all the fish lovers,. In Mawa, you get the freshwater fishes from which you can pick your favourite one, and they will cook right in front of you and serve you steaming hot rice and some delicious bhortas.

Nice place to visit. But be careful and control temptation to enter water on an unsafe boat.
Old boats. Poor safety jackets. Turbulent waters. Risky.

The bank of Padma, an amazing place to visit!

It takes about 2 hours from Uttara, Dhaka on Friday morning. The cost is about 3-4k in private cars. However, you can easily get a bus from Gulistan bus stand to mawa ghat.

On the way, you will enjoy the beauty of the Mawa highway. In the ghat, there are a lot of restaurants around there, and they are mainly famous for the hilsa fish. The fish is really delicious. 800 gm 1 piece hilsha, price was 1250 bdt. We were 5 in members and our total bill was 2k.

Additionally, you can hire a boat to go through the Padma river. We reserved the boat for 1 hour, it charged us bdt 1k.

You can enjoy swimming here, if you take additional clothes with you. You can enjoy the view of the padma bridge and abundant fresh air to refresh your mind.

It is always crowdy. Even in the midnight it was crowded.
Best place for having ilish fish.
You can find the fishes in moderate price.
The road to mawa is very good.

Awesome place for refreshments. Bangladesh first ever express highway. Great feeling of 35 km riding in this expressway. Best place for long drive with friends and family. Bikers best choice for long ride without any fears. Hopefully this place would be best place for people who wants refreshing within shortest movement for Dhaka city people.
