I went on a 3 day trip to the Sundarbans in Bangladesh, the largest mangrove forest in the world. Quite an incredible trip. I did not see much wildlife, other than monkeys, deer, river dolphins and cranes. But I saw a lot of tiger pug marks. It was the voyage that was amazing. The ship, journeys in the tiny canoe, spending two nights on the boat anchored in pitch darkness with just starlight. The banter with friendly Bangladeshi passengers. And walking on deserted, remote, white-sand river-island beaches. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Eye catching, mysterious, splendid and surprising beauty of nature. How can the calm beauty be so enchanting and thrilling!! It's beyond of imagination if nobody goes to watch this beauty from his/her own eyes. A beaaaautifuulll gift of Almighty. Its a great chance if anyone comes here for once in their entire life.
Just kept your eyes open while going through the rivers or canals, you will decipher the surprising beauty of nature. Its thrilling sometimes due to some sounds inside the canals.
Be safe and stay in secured zone at night since its an isolated area and mobile frequency would not be available max time. Follow the instructions of forest guard and your guides. Don't keep yourself isolated from the group.
To go to Shundarban you may go from Khulna or directly you may go to Mongla by road and then start your journey on the water.
Food specially the fishes available locally are awesome.
Come and enjoy every single bit of this amusing beauty !!

A magnificent forest and home of the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, it was an enjoyable two night stay on our group boat. You can expect to see numerous birds, often more the memory than any good photograph. The fish eagle will likely be your best bet in that regard. We did see spotted deer and some wild boar. Trips down various channels were a chance to see local fishermen, sea otters and the occasional monitor lizard. You will get better greenery shots than birding ones. The monsoon level markings on tree branches and the like are photo worthy. There are trails to walk, including a stroll along the Bay of Bengal at Jamtola Beach. The crocodile farm is worth a short visit. The extent of the options, yet alone the extent of the area, are great.

Sundarbans, the largest natural mangrove forest of the world. 65% of its area is situated at Bangladesh, rest in India. Hiron Point Nilkomol eco-tourism spot is UNESCO declared world heritage site. Remaining must to visit areas are, Dublar Chor Alor Kol, Kotka, Jamtoli sea beach & watch tower, Harbaria, Kochikhali & Koromjol. There is Santana bathing festival at Dublar Chor yearly during 'Raas Purnima' (a full moon). Natural fauna & flora of the Sundarbans are it's gifted treasures. The Royal Bengal Tiger & Spotted deer of this forest are facing the threat of extinction. Come, visit & enjoy.

I did enjoy the trip. The wildlife, the views and the food where great. The facilities on the boat are ok but quite basic - the cabins are really small and instead of showers we had just washrooms.
