Background of the Establishment of the University:
i) To establish a Science and Technology University in Rangamati for advancement of Science and Technology education in the country;
ii) To offer modern scientific and technical education that will contribute to meeting the increasing demand for technical education in the country;
iii) To meet the demand for skilled manpower both home and abroad; and
iv) To create the minimum required academic facilities including residential and library facilities.

I am not aware of this institution. But the atmosphere and the campus here attracted me.

It was the temporary campus. Now it has been moved to the permanent campus(Jagrabil).

A developing public university in the Chittagong hill tracts.❣
