Legends mention that there the particular area was the resident of the gods and goddesses of the aboriginal people. But a sudden disaster of a deity who killed (actually ate) the inhabitants of the local Khumi tribal village people. The story did not end there. The deity reappeared in the form of a dreadful dragon and was responsible for the instant earthquake which resulted in the craving of the hillside, disappearing of that village and the formation of the legendary deep Boga Lake.
This place highly valued by the community for its water based recreational activities, amenity and cultural heritage while also fulfilling its role as a water supply storage.

There is an army camp near the lake. There are also a shop operated by the army. There is boating facility in the lake but not allowed to go in the middle of the lake for security.

The calm lake gives a great experience of observing natural beauty. For safety reasons, you can't swim here, but just sitting beside the lake looking at this will ensure a mental refreshment. Staying at the cottage just beside the lake allows you to get e great view.

The place / lake is very nice and peaceful! The journey towards Boga is another exciting part!! The slope of roads / hills are some times so high that some people may get afraid (specially who has height fovea). Apart from that its so exciting!!

Boga Lake is the highest freshwater lake in Bangladesh. It is located in Ruma upazila of Bandarban district. Its height from sea level is about 1248 feet or 360 meters. Its depth is 125 feet or 36 meters. Boga Lake is also called Dragon Lake by many. The natural environment here is very beautiful. All in all, it is a green land of beauty.

It is truly amazing that how a natural sweet and deep water lake can be situated nearly 1,246 feet (380 m) height from sea level. Really a fabulous place to visit. The Keokradong hill is just 9.5 km away.

The lake is bounded on three sides by mountain peaks covered with thick bamboo bushes. The area of the lake is 18.56 acres (75,100 m2). It is a closed lake and there is a small spring named Boga chhara, which is 153 metres (502 ft) deep. There is no outlet for draining out water from the lake. The lake is composed of the soft rocks of the Bhuban Formation. The main source of water is the spring. The water is crystal clear and under the lake the water there are rocks and boulders all over.

Boga Lake is located under Ruma Upazila about 63 km away from Bandarban main town. On the way to Boga Lake, you feel enjoy the breathtaking scenario and the serpentine rugged hilly road around the greenish.

It was my first experience traveling at Boga Lake in my life. The more exciting the journey I felt in the same way, the more dangerous it was too. Because we went by motorcycle and had to go through a curvy high mountain road before reaching Boga Lake.

Remember if you want to have lunch at Boga Lake. Upon reaching there, first, you have to order lunch at the hilly restaurant. Otherwise, you will starve throughout the day.

Just like a heavenly place. Situated in Bandarban District of Chittagong Division. The place "Bogalake" is basically named after a lake, which is 1100 ft above the sea! The place is really calm and cool. Clouds spontaneously move here and there. You have to stay in the local home here. The local people also will help you to arrange foods. I'd love to go back there again and again!

Boga Lake situated in Ruma Upazilla, Bandarban District. From Bandarban Town to Boga Lake is about 65 Km. One of the sweet natural water lake and deep as well. Prohibit to swim in this lake due to sometimes travelers die in lake of knowledge. There is myth among the locals tribe that dragon's fire create this lake.
How to go : From Dhaka there is lot of buses running to Bandarban hill districts.
Bandarban to Baga Lake: Need Jeep because of Hills criss cross road, road condition is not good now.
Food: In Baga Lake area there is tribal resturant and Hotel as well. If anyone further want to move Keokradong can stay there overnight.
