I am just starting fly fishing , and had gathered a mixed bag of gear and rods . I phoned Jim at flyfinz for advice ,he said bring it in not only did he set up two of my reels and tested them to get me going his whole aim was to use what I had saying let’s try not have to spend money . The rods I had were not the most expensive but he didn’t put them down just used his expertise to set them up even testing to make sure he was happy , then he got me to try some casting and left me with some homework . purchased a starter kit and was so impressed with the quality i subsequently purchased more gear. Jim is generous to a fault with his time , guidance and advice. He is the main reason a novice like myself is now enjoying the sport and catching fish.

Initially i was disappointed to have driven a looong way to the store whose website states it is open, to find a scrawled note stuck inside the door "closed 7th oct to 15th Oct Sorry for inconvenience" Subsequently I was able to get in touch with Jim who explained that he had actually updated his webpage however it had not saved the changes. Jim is very knowledgeable and the range of materials for tying is impressive! Thanks Jim!

By far the best priced fly tying gear in oz. Customer service is as good as it gets and only sells quality items. I’ve bought quite a few of the flyfinz brand stuff from hooks, beads, scissors and even treated myself to a euro nymphing rod and everything has been flawless.
