The Sock Factory.

We visited the Sock Factory and enjoyed it. The service we received was good old fashioned quality.
We bought some socks, a jumper and some Ugg boots. Great range of all sorts of clothes. Hats, beanies, jumpers, belts and of course some great quality socks.
We looked at the machines which were new and automated but still interesting.
We will go back next time we are in York.

For a wonderful fitting Aussie made sock a must,their orginal UGG boot is a must buy obviously a lot more than the overseas brands but will last and feel a lot longer and warmer on your toesys...HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I bought a pair of socks here last year when we were visiting from QLD. Foolish really as I should have bought multiple pairs, they are so good 😊 I called them last Friday and spoke to a very helpful lady, ordered 3 more pairs which arrived in my mailbox today ! Excellent service - I highly recommend this family run business.

Definatley worth having a look at the old sock machine. I never knew how socks were made, it's really interesting. Also they have more than socks, they have uggs and wool wear.

Loved the excellent service by the well-informed staff. One can find good quality local socks, shoes and merino wool products here.

I love this place! Every time I come to York I make sure I visit the sock factory and get a few new pairs of socks. The couple who run the place are warm and welcoming and their socks are made in house, amazing! Definitely a must-see if in the area

My wife and I visited on a Sunday afternoon just on closing time the owner graciously opened his door. And I bought four pairs of socks, I work as a storeman in a timber warehouse walking on hard concrete all day I have found that they are the most comfortable socks I've ever worn will definitely be buying some more online.cheers John and Georgia from Rosebud vic

York is a quirky friendly picturesque place to visit. The sock factory has wool products to suit all budgets. Moderate to expensive that is but great quality. Bought a woollen jumper that should last 100 years!

This is a business that should be featured as an Australian success story to all. It is certainly worth visiting York to see the shop and hear the story of their history. Thought I'd buy a pair of their socks and ended up with many pairs and a hat to boot (yes I could have bought a pair of them as well); goodness knows what my wife bought. Now we will have warm feet all the way home across the Nullarbor.
Good to know we can still make things and export them as well.

Went to York yesterday and and were walking around the town when we came across the Sock Factory which is off the beaten track. We were totally surprised by this shop with heaps of woollen and various other products.
The owners were so pleasant and even gave a demonstration on how the socks are made on his machine. Well worth a visit when next in York.

Best pair of socks you’ll ever buy yourself. Forget Explorers, fancy bamboo socks and all that other jazz. Quality pairs of wool socks are heaps comfier, provide better cushioning and wick sweat away better. They’re the last pair of socks you’ll ever buy.

Loved it there. Bought magnificent merino and possum scarf/wrap. Cost heaps but love it. Socks are cheap. Great variety of natural body lotions, soaps and products. Cheery staff. Very helpful.

The Sock Factory needs to change its name! It has so many more wonderful Australian-made items + NZ too. Friendly staff. We were lucky to be there with the machines running.

Loved this place. Reminded me of a place in Innisvail, Scotland that sold pure wool products. Smaller version, but we'll worth a visit when in York, WA.

Fabulous small factory manufacturing socks on site - fascinating to watch the knitting machines at work. Buy socks there plus other woollen goods like jumpers, scarves, ugg boots, etc. Friendly service, well worth a visit.

Always great place to go to .especially in winter to stock up on woollen clothing
