Williams Shoes Taree

I thought I would look for new ankle boots in this store two days ago - while I was choosing a style the Manager (female) loudly explained to another person ( I think someone who knew her from another store, not a customer) how much work she had to do and how understaffed she was and she had no time anything! Clearly that included me (a customer) I requested my size in two styles. She returned with two boxes dropped them beside me and went back to her stock work telling me "they are in sizes as shown on display". I asked what the discount amounted too as there was a 25% discount. She just said "theres chart there - look at that" I then realised what 25% was without her chart. I then found I had a boot from the larger size area - I asked if she had it in my size to which she said "I ALREADY TOLD YOU they are in sizes as marked!" I apologised to her and continued with trying on the one pair which was my size. I decided to purchase as I went to counter she said "YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE BOX as you cant exchange without it" I said "No thank you I don't want the box I won't exchange" she "Alright well don't try to bring them back then as theres no refund or exchange!" I said "I just told you I won't be returning the boots..." I then asked her why she was so rude to customers and its only 8.30am? She promptly told me I was being rude to her. I said you haven't helped me in the purchase of these boots other than retrieve them from stock at the back and you are far from polite to me. She said "I have a lot of work on and I have no staff and Im the MANAGER here and Im very busy!" There wasn't anyone else in the store ... but her stock work was clearly was more important to her than a customer buying a pair of boots for $150.00. She shouldn't be working in retail customer service - I dread how she would treat anyone who worked in there - and its perhaps why she's under staffed - they leave! Coincidently I have managed a shoe and handbag store years ago and I wouldn't ever dream of speaking to a customer or treat a customer the way this woman does... BE WARNED!! She's far from pleasant!

Manager so rude. Will shop online from now on.
