We purchased an Alpha queen wall bed for our guest room. It’s proven to be excellent. Our friends say it is sturdy and comfortable and we love it because it gives more space - I use the room as an art room the rest of the time. Purchase and delivery was easy - allow 3 weeks from when you order. It arrived carefully packaged and had no scratches or damage. Assembly by a professional is expensive, so my husband assembled the bed himself. It isn’t easy and took a few hours. While the instructions are detailed they seem to be written by someone who knows what they are doing and would benefit from review and a rewrite while being assembled by a first timer. Getting the last springs in is tricky. But he got there and we love it. I totally recommend Wallbeds Australia. They’re great to deal with and very professional.

Great bed, gives us space in our studio apartment during the day. Easy to assemble, if you do it yourself.
We did have to buy a body pillow to stop our pillows from disappearing at the end of the bed, problem solved.
A couple of small issues that could be addressed, ask customers if they require a skirting cut out and the bed head flexes when sitting up in bed, I have fitted a brace at the back of the bed head to fix this.
Once again, a great bed and a great solution to limited space.

Incredibly happy with our recent Wallbed purchase. Charlene in the office was fantastic to deal with, all the office staff were patient and understanding with my numerous questions throughout the purchase process. We paid for the added benefit of installation, and Kevin and Dorji that did the install were super quick and efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Great sturdy product, end result is amazing. We purchased our WallBed almost a year ago for our main bedroom and we're so happy we did. We opted for a king size in order to keep our memory foam mattress and it works well. Even that's the heaviest combo it's still very easy to open and fold even with our bedding on it. We added nice IKEA lights and Giselle foam sofa bed from Catch.com.au which stays under the bed when the bed is open. We didn't like the gap between the mattress and the steal frame so we filled it with a foam strips and covered with nice soft fabric. We're using our "new room" every day especially now during the lock-down. It was more affordable solution for us compare building an extension.

Really happy with the outcome; we have turned a spare bedroom into a multipurpose space.

The bed and shelves come flat packed delivered on a pallet, it’s packaged excellently.

Putting it together is a two person job, all panels are very heavy, it’s solid not like the ikea flat packs. It’s easy enough to do, but time consuming, it’s not going to fall apart this century. The toughest part is the spring system, there is a knack to it, but make sure you eat your weetabix. I’m 100kg and loading the spring was as an effort.

We put a mattress in a box on it from Breeze. We have a had a few guests use it and they have all been impressed; no squeaks or wobbles.

I bought the murphy bed mechanism as I wanted to build a King size bed with my design.
This is very solid and after 2 months of use daily (this is my unique bed), no sign of issue. I used all the springs and the balance is perfect, my wife can move it up and down without any effort.
If you want to build your bed on your own, I recommend to watch A LOT of youtube videos to get a feeling of what has to be done.
Also dimensions provided in the manual are standard but it doesn't have to be followed completely. Eg I was able to put the mechanism a few centimeters below what was suggested as my design is different.

A bit more about my design:
As you can see, I am not really a professional so my finish is what it is... Also, I use/recycle pieces of wood that I have so colors don't match...
I wanted an open design and not feel in a box and also a perfect desktop setup with embedded monitor and hidden cables so I can quickly plug my laptop and start working...
So the upper cabinets are kitchen cabinets from Kaboodle/Bunnings and are completely separated from the murphy bed.
The murphy bed mechanism is attached to the 2 side "cabinets" that are attached to the floor. I also reused my previous bed slats frame and built a wooden box around.
I am still thinking about building a head support as my pillow sometime fall between the bed and the wall. The issue is that the space between the wall and the bed is different when folder or on sleeping position so I need to find a creative idea to make it move/fold automatically.
But I love the desktop setup with the screen mounted on the bed (cheapest 1 arm tube for screen from Kogan) - since covid, I work from home and every morning, it is less than 1 minutes to setup the desktop and start working!

We were really impressed with our Wallbeds purchase. The show room was excellent, and the options available and quality of our bed were great. Our only issue was the instructions were often confusing and diagrams misleading (even when we're both experienced in flat pack construction).

Very satified with our Wallbed and service and supply was on time. The assembly process and instructions made it easy because their could be some traps if you did not follow them.

Fantastic space saving idea. Office staff very helpful. I am very happy with my desk/double bed combo. Installation was great and not an issue to install outside of ACT. I Highly recommend this company.

A quality product. Well packaged to transport to us given we live a long way from the factory and multiple carriers were involved. Responsive and flexible customer service. Would definitely use them again.

Brilliant. Great value for money - essentially we have added another room to our house. We ordered this to convert our guest room to a study/office. The flat pack of WallBed arrived ahead of schedule (we were consulted about delivery) and with all parts required to construct it. There are people who will, for a fee, put it together for you, but we did this over a long weekend and were very happy with the results.

Would be better if full instructions were provided with the bed.

After doing heaps of research into murphy beds, I decided that it would be less stressful to purchase one rather than build one. First stop was WallBeds in Southport Qld where my wife and I could see a finished product as well as test to see whether it would be easy to pull down and put up. The Wallbed passed with flying colours.
Next step was to order one. The on line process was simple and there was quick follow up by the company which gave me an ETA. When they began building the unit, another email was sent with an expected ETA. Emails followed telling me that the unit was complete, on the truck for delivery as well as complete instructions as to how to assemble the unit. Delivery arrived when expected.
Being an amateur DIY, I was not overly confident as to putting everything together, so called in some additional help. The WallBed was constructed in a day. Instructions were easily read and when followed step by step made assembly easy. The only sticking point was that the directions as to arranging the front panels didn't mention that they needed to be placed so that the door handles appear to be at the bottom of the bed when assembled from top down. It was only that a sharp eyed assistant spotted the mistake before we started screwing them into place.
Lifting the bed base into the cupboard did require extra help as it needed to be lifted over the kickboard. Once up, there were very few corrections that we had to make with regards to squaring the unit and adjusting tensions.
I would have liked to have had plastic buttons rather than stickers to cover any exposed pre-drilled holes, just to finish the WallBed off.
The WallBed has now become a "show off" feature of the room as well as freeing up space.
I would highly recommend WallBeds Australia for anyone doing a renovation or needing extra space in the room.

Love our new wall bed. It's ideal for a small apartment with only limited room. Our installation included a desk which folds under when the bed is pulled out. Everything can be still left on the desk when the bed is in use. The instructions are quite clear, but you need to be a reasonable handyman to do it yourself.

When we bought our apartment, we knew we had to carefully manage the space to ensure it met our needs. A king size fold down for us and 2 single fold downs in the second bedroom made sure we still had a home office and room for the kids to play in their own space. Putting them together was fairly straight forward, and the phone support was top notch. We have been sleeping on the every night for 4 years now and they still look and work great
