Bought a Lian Li case from Umart more than half a year ago and recently found the HDD case has come loose. Reported this issue to service / support and expected it to get lost forever. However, I got prompt response within just a few hours from Gabrielle! She asked for videos / photos from me so she could check with the tech team. Follow-up communication also went very well and efficiently. Although I chose to stop addressing it and live with it due to the hassles to send the case over (and dis/re-assemble the computer), I must say the service and technical support I got from Umart is beyond my expectations and deserves a five-star rating. I'm glad that I now have another favourite computer store apart from Centrecom and Scorptec. Keep up with the good job, Umart!

I recently bought a new desktop PC and monitors for our draftsman's working station from Umart, and I was amazed at their customer service - from sales and technical services to pick up. Their sales team, in particular Roger, was extremely helpful and efficient helping me put my order through and making sure I had my machine ready and assembled within the short time frame I had - which was awesome! Their customer service was also exceptional, I had a question about the lead time, and their support team responded promptly and professionally. Our new machine and drafting station is up and running perfectly and we couldn't be happier! My experience with Umart was outstanding, and I cannot recommend them enough!!!

The customer service is pretty good. There was a missing bonus code from my order and they quickly apologised and resolved it by sending it through.

Gabrielle was a huge help and answered all my questions perfectly and swiftly online.

UPDATE 3/11/23 - Sent a full account of the problem and previous correspondence with Umart, to their 'feedback' email address. Umart still refusing a refund, insisting they 'prove' the item is faulty or else cannot assist any further. I have 2 x confirmation emails from the manufacturer + 7 screenshots of the fault. Consumer affairs has beeen notified.

Purchased a $3000 graphics card which has not worked since day one. Returned the card immediately after speaking to the manufacturer who advised the product is faulty and needs to be returned.

Sent the product to Umart who gave me the runaround. Advised they could not replicate the fault. Advised they sent the product to the manufacturer who could not replicate the fault.

After a dozen back and forth emails and conversations, Umart refused to provide any resolution - no repair, replacement or refund. I relented and said I would accept the card back and try to use it again.

Again, the card does not work. Spoke to the manufacturer who again advised the card is faulty and should be returned.

Contacted Umart again and they have not bothered to provide a reply.

Although it is difficult to document 5 months of problems in a short summary, I can assure that Umart is the most terrible retailer in Australia and I would avoid them at all costs.

My recent experience with the service at this particular store was disappointing to say the least. Upon my arrival, I was informed that in-store orders were not possible and I would need to place an online order instead. Although this was inconvenient, I complied and proceeded to make the online purchase right there in the store, making sure the sales representative was aware of what I was doing.

What transpired next was frustrating and baffling. The representative emerged from the back of the store to inform me that there was a known issue with the RAM I had just purchased, specifically if used with 4 DIMMs. Not only was this information provided too late, but he also added that if this issue led me to return the product, I would be subject to a restocking fee. Faced with this gamble, I decided to cancel my purchase altogether and request a refund.

Adding insult to injury, I learned that my refund could not even be processed immediately and would take up to 5 days. What I can't wrap my head around is why I was not advised of the RAM's known fault before finalizing my purchase, especially when I was doing it in front of the sales rep. Equally perplexing and frustrating is the store's policy of charging a 20% restocking fee on a product that is already known to have issues. This not only raises questions about business ethics but also legality.
