Ichiba Japanese Grocery

Easily my favourite Japanese grocery shop in Sydney! They have a huge selection of stuff and they even have a kitchen inside. The Japanese lady working in the kitchen was super nice and kind. It was a bit confusing trying to find the shop from the car park but I think it’s on the ground level. I wish I lived nearby 🥹

It was my first time to visit Ichiba today , it is going to be my go to place for sure .

Great place for your Japanese groceries! - probably the only one in the area (if I’m not mistaken). They sell all things Japanese (miso paste, drinks, snacks, meat, you name it). Staffs are polite. They take card payments without a minimum so that’s a plus.

There’s also hot food like curry don, croquettes, taiyaki and more. I especially loved the onigiri ($3) which was fresh and warm - sold in 3 different options; tuna, lobster salad and mentaiko).

I'm so impressed with the staff and the amazing array of Sake on offer I will definitely come back and buy more.

Great supermarket packed with a huge variety of quality Japanese products. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I can't leave without grabbing an onigiri or three.

Unique little shop with a nice but small variety of Japanese goods. Ended up buying a tempura prawn onigiri and it’s was quite good, will be back to try the other foods there. Also, the liquor store has a great variety of Japanese alcohol. A must visit.

Excellent customer service and a huge range of Japanese goods can be bought here. I always buy the onigiri and it is delicious every time, I always look forward to coming back!

Good to have an authentic Japanese grocery store in the neighbourhood. But just that this is the honeymoon period. People may buy to support this shop. I see a lot of Japanese brand available in Korean or Chinese grocery store but not available here, maybe this shop try to avoid selling those popular Japanese brand. Hope this shop stock more variety of Japanese product, as there is still lots of empty space that can be utilised. This shop must increase 100% of sku or risk running out of business as the rent is extremely expensive. Hope these guy will last.

Wow, they have such unique items that I never saw in other Japanese/ Asian grocers. For example, they have snap frozen white bread directly from Japan! And grated fresh wasabi (frozen). Highly recommend.

A great selection of rare products, and the staff are VERY polite. Service you'd usually find only in Japan. It's like somebody scooped a small convenience store from Tokyo and placed it in Sydney. I've been hoping to find somewhere like this for many many years.

A grocery store that stocks Japanese groceries you don’t usually find elsewhere. Really friendly staff. I got the sense that the owner’s children also help out there - this made me want to support it more.

So excited to have a Japanese supermarket nearby. Lots of homemade snacks (onigiri, inari sushi, taiyaki) in store and food items from Japan! Staff are very polite and friendly.

Friendly staff a great range of food and frozen ready to go options that are alot better than frozen pizzas etc the takeaway here is also great!
