Spencers Store

Generous portion of food and reasonably priced; can sit comfortably just a little further down the main street where other cafes are, which we prefer :) Had the pork burger, baked potatos, big breakfast and soft taco with calamari😋 We went via Puffing Billy and its a good spot to take a break for some nice food and coffee before boarding back. Would recommend :)

Absolutely glorious little cafe, very reasonable prices & the food was incredible. Coffee was delicious, definitely recommend.

Vegan options were amazing! We shared the Mediterranean Toastie, Chips and Orange Pancakes and loved everything! Can highly recommend

Nice little place, five of us all enjoyed our meals. I had the Chilli Eggs - it was presented on a pitta bread round - great idea to make up a little roll it up at the end, and it wasn't too chilli. My daughter had Smashed Avocado (Vegan option), and she loved it. The service was very good, the girls were polite and the meals were prompt. Coffee very good.

Outstanding cafe. Service is exceptional and the food delicious. I feel bad it's taken me so long to write a review, I have been coming here for years when I'm out this way and it's always great. Got to be one of the best coffees in the hills too!

it’s a wonderful day to get out the city, this cafe are amazing, they have outdoor and indoor seating, entrance are the little cute store, selling all different kind of cute stuff, dog biscuits etc. we had Smoke salmon, chicken sandwiches & Chips w chicken salt, the portion was generous, and so good, love the smoke salmon bagel. chicken sandwiches are delicious as well~ the outdoor seating are comfortable, with a lot of shade~ the trees are everywhere, also plenty of space for kids to running around~

Recent visit to this Cafe is still pleasant hadn't changed a bit🙂 the food was great as always and the staff are friendly and helpful. 😊

Spencer's have the best coffee, food and service in the Hills. They have amazing gluten free options for my partner and delicious wheaty options for me. As a local Spencer's is part of our weekend routine but we have also been known to drive hours, past many cafes back to our trusty Spencer's for a great coffee and meal after a holiday or road trip.

We love Spencer’s Store and try to visit a couple of times a year. The staff are always lovely, the food and drinks always comes quickly and is delicious (I live for the chilli jam on the baked potatoes and the hot chocolate is the best I’ve had). They’re also super kid friendly with one of the best selections of kids meals anywhere (we’ve been bringing our now 3 year old here since he was 3 months!). Always a pleasure to visit, especially as the drive is nice too.

Spencer’s will always hold a special place in my heart. Every new menu brings more delicious food & the coffee always hits the spot. The staff are always so kind & accommodating. A beautiful, cosy cafe with the best vibes. Highly recommend!

Great little cafe! Came up to Gembrook on the Puffing Billy and originally decided to come here just because of the reviews and fortunately it was open because the rest of town is closed on a Tuesday except for the grocery store. The drinks were excellent (they make an amazing chai with actual black tea and crushed whole cardamom pods), the food was tasty, especially the baked goodies, and the service was very nice and friendly. And if you're coming up on the train and only going one way, the bus stop is right outside the cafe.

What a great find. This old Australian cottage makes a beautiful quality gift shop with both indoor and garden cafe dining. Its in the main street of Gembrook. As we prefer quiet days we went on a Monday. Puffing Billy was not running. But if you prefer busy then check out monthly market day near Puffing Billy, end of the line, station.
