Blue Lotus Water Garden

Such a great place! Lotus are beautiful, the gardens are well kept, it's not huge but you can spend a few hours taking it all in. The cafe food is okay, bit overpriced but considering you get to sit on the lake and overlook the lotus it's worth sitting there. There's also plenty of gazebos to sit and enjoy, as well as picnic tables and BBQS. Public toilets throughout, water fountains, plenty of parking (although we went on a weekday). Small gift shop including plants for sale.

Came up with dad and the fam. It was a really nice place to take in all the different species of lotus flowers and the views of the lake. The atmosphere was really nice too with many kids and families walking around and enjoying themselves, tho I must say, if you go during a day forecast to or has rained, be careful cuz the paths can get quite muddy and slippery, otherwise, a really peaceful experience.

Gift shop could have more to offer.
I love plants, so this place was a dream for me.
There are lots of cute photo opportunities with the family, too.

Second time here. Last time I went was a couple of years ago. They are open on new years day which is great! I was glad to see a face painting station for the children. Great place for the whole family. There are play spaces for the kids and many picnic tables for lunch. With the entry pass, you can go in and out to get your lunch from the car if needed. Lotus chips and ice cream were sold there and were delicious. People were lovely and helpful. Only thing I have to say is that if you have trypophobia (like me) you will not enjoy looking at the lotus flowers from a certain angle. But otherwise, it is a very peaceful place! Great tourist attraction and place to take overseas visitors too! Lots of places for photos! I also love that colourful umbrellas are provided on entry to use if you'd like too. It is very sunny in the summer so I recommend bringing a hat and sunnies.

What a lovely place with some stunning variety of lotus flowers! So well maintained... Very pretty! Easily spent a few hours here without getting bored. The place also has plenty of benches and seats for anyone who is getting tired of walking... Or for having a picnic lunch. I certainly recommend this place!

Our time was truly amazing at the gnome and fairy gardens, surrounded by vibrant flower colors that left us in awe.

Wowwwwwww!!!! This place is absolutely stunning I was blown away!! It’s great that all children under 15 years of age get free entry.
Plenty of tables throughout the place to sit and how wonderful you can bring your own picnic. We dined at the cafe and it was nice food. There is a cute fairy garden and play equipment for kids.
I can’t recommend this place enough - for any guys reading this… perfect place to get engaged!

Perfect day trip. This is a water garden with thousands of lotus flowers. Relaxed and a very peaceful environment. Buy your tickets online. Ample parking. They have a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal overlooking a huge lotus pond. On the way out you can buy plants. A great location for photography. My whole family enjoyed this place and had a great time.

Stunning lotus gardens, well worth the visit. Make sure to pick a day with good weather to get the most out of the walks around the gardens as the gardens are extensively spaced out. They have many sheltered seating spots interspersed throughout the gardens also and a gift shop. You can buy lotus flowers there also.

Blue Lotus Water Garden is a dreamy escape for all ages! The vibrant blooms and tranquil ponds create a magical atmosphere.

Kids under 15 get in for free, making it a fantastic family outing.

Don't forget to stop by the in-house cafe – they serve up delicious treats, completing the perfect day out surrounded by nature's beauty!

It's pretty big place with lots of different kind of lotus flowers. They have a few sections/ponds and the ponds are surrounded with small huts where you can sit and have a break/lunch.

There are a few barbecue areas as well (paid bbq. $2 per 10 or 17 min - can't really remember).

There's also a cafe inside the place. Understandably, you can't just go in just to visit the cafe without paying the entrance fee.

We came on a Sunday, just slightly after they open. The place get quite busy a couple of hours later. So it's worth coming early.

Exceeded expectations. We stopped past while waiting for the TWMA museum to open.
Stayed twice as long as we expected because the place is huge. If you are planning a day trip definitely research when the place will be in full bloom. As it looked like we had just missed the peaks.
There were some amazing flowers.
A touch pricy if you are just stopping past quickly. Definitely try and avoid the bus tours.

Great place to visit, you think you could be in Thailand or Bali that’s how tropical it feels.
Plenty of beautiful places to explore and even has barbecues but I’d suggest you would need a be there early to have access to the barbecue areas.
I would give this attraction a 5 star rating, however, the food available is very poor and pricey so you would be better off going to a local pub or take away in Warburton or Yarra Junction.
Definitely recommend the visit even for the people not that into plants.

The sheer amount of different types of Lotus flowers is astounding and the relaxing and intriguing environment is quite nice!! The restaurant is good but could have more vegan or vegetarian options. Great place to visit!!

Massive improvement since my last visit 7 years ago! The wider unsealed paths, walkways & more features esp. for the kids makes this sprawling Lotus garden a top notch attraction in Warburton. Cafe is under new management & is good too! Pram & wheelchair friendly in most parts.

With rolling hills as a backdrop & reflections on water, this sprawling garden is equally serene & picturesque. Other flowering plants like salvias, impatiens, cannas, begonias plus various shrubs & banana trees add variety & colour.

A garden pass with map is handed out once entry tix is purchased & keep this to re-enter. You don't need this pass for the nursery retail area in front or souvenir shop but will need the pass to get to the Cafe area.

Weekends are busy - so I bought my tix online to save time though you can buy onsite. Parking areas have also been extended with attendants directing where to park.

Byo picnic food - plenty of covered mini pavilions with table seating to enjoy it. BBQ facilities & toilet locations are indicated on the map. Amenities are clean & quite a few dotted around.

The onsite Cafe has been recently taken over by 3 Sugars in Warburton & weekend lunch crowds are huge. Q up to order & pay, get a table number & you will served when order is ready. Pre-made items like sausages, quiches/pies with salad/chips option is served quicker. I had the huge tasty sausage with chips + salad & coffee.

Use the map with detailed info to cover all areas especially along the clear flowing Little Yarra river trail that borders one side. This has interesting info boards & you may spot pretty flitting birds like the blue fairy wren.

This is a magical place. It's enchanting, colourful, and lovely. It's quite the experience, the lakes and pathways make for one of the most pleasant days you can enjoy. Do yourself a favour and come and experience it for yourself.

It was a nice experience for us when we visited Blue Lotus Water Garden. There's a lot of varieties of lotus and waterlilies. Roaming around the place was good. There were a lot of reast areas as well.

What a delightful place. Picturesque, well maintained, beautiful flowers and great food at the Cafe. It was clear that there was a great deal of thought gone into the designing of the grounds and all the facilities. We had a wonderful day!!

Spectacular and magical garden, worth the visit if you love plants and nature. Immensely peaceful and beautiful spot.
