A beautiful Victorian park that we used to it! It’s our first choice for having a picnic! There are pedal boats that you can hire and walk on the river! Also, you can bring your bikes here, and ride among beautiful trees in the fresh forests! Watching the Billy train is also another attraction in this park! Highly recommended!

Lovely park to walk around with doggo (on lead, or in pram 🤭) in any weather. Lots of shaded areas.

The lake is stunning when there is no boats on it.

Always a good place to visit, paths and park areas are always clean and well kept. The new visitors centre is very nice too, be sure to check out the train at the very back. Plus, if you're there at the right time you might see Puffing Billy. Good job park 👌🦆

Very nice place for family picnic. Very large area with lake for boating. Just opposite to Emerald Station (steam engine). It has parking which is $2 for two hours and $6 for full day. Park closed at 8pm. BBQ and sitting areas throughout the park. You can do pedal boating in the lake (2 person) which was $17 for 15mins, my 8 years daughter enjoyed a lot however I had to pedal. You can buy coffee, snacks , ice cream from the cafe inside the park if you are not bringing your own. The best part is the nature surrounding with different trees and birds so a must visit place and may not disappoint. You can also enjoy the steam engine train of Puffing Billy from Belgrave station. If coming with kids then some play areas are there.

We had a great experience visiting the Emerald lake park, one of the best picnic spots we have been to! The boating, walking trails, cycling and to top it up, puffing Billy Station is amazing. Kids loved watching the trains, and it was such an amazing day. Would love to go back again

What a fabulous trip through the hills for anyone who enjoys trains and even if you don't. Would appreciate better signage at Belgrave station to and back from Puffing Billy station. Volunteers were excellent and gave us special treatment. Thank you. We went 1st glass and that was a bit of fun with a glass of wine and a 🧀 board. Love to do it all again.

Very beautiful. Lots of open space for park related activities. Few decent picnics and BBQ areas. And most importantly, puffing billy station. Cafes around the area are also pretty decent.

A outdoor pool, beautiful scenery and puffing Billy comes through.
Can get a bit busy during tourist season.
And unfortunately all parking is paid not so expensive though $2 for 2 hours $8 for the day

Wheelchair friendly location with lots of walking trails around. There are playgrounds for the kids, a cafe with reasonably priced food, drinking fountains and toilets. Paid attractions such as Puffing Billy, Model Train Museum and paddle boats are popular with visitors.

A scenic and relaxing stopover in the Dandenong Ranges, offering trails to stroll through the temperate rainforest, spots to picnic and paddle boats on the lake. Next to the park is the model railway museum and the historic Puffing Billy steam train. You can ride it and enjoy the charm of a bygone era. Emerald Lake Park is a gem to visit.

Autumnal hues & falling leaves were still stunning yesterday Thurs 11 May. Good to see tourists are back. Delightful to hear & behold Puffing Billy chugging away with happy kids & adults. Love autumn colours in the hills. This a fantastic extensive park to walk, immerse & enjoy. Dogs allowed on leash. New Visitor's Centre is fabulous. Playground, picturesque Lake with hire paddle boats, amphitheatres, flowing creeks, lovely bridges & colourful birds & other wildlife if you care to look. Extensive walking trails which goes in a loop.round the lake & fringes as well as to Nobelius Heritage Park following the Puffing Billy tracks.
