I bought the Wholecut Oxfords in black this week. Amazing quality shoes at a very reasonable price. If you're in Canberra, they will even come to your house and ensure they fit properly if needed, which in my case they came with two different sizes just in case. Therefore there is no worrying about having to return them. I will definitely be returning to buy a pair of Loafers in the coming months.

Sam @ Sparrods & Co provides fantastic quality products that need to be experienced to fully understand how great they are. I've bought three pairs from him, and I feel like I've stumbled on a small-business , luxury-boutique experience that you'd expect to get somewhere in Europe. That, and it's affordable. Albeit stock sometimes takes it's time to turn up, the wait is worth it, and you are rewarded with a handmade, small-batch produced shoe that feels more unique and maybe even better quality than RMs (certainly better than my Suit Supply loafers). I received my pair of brogues in 2-days of ordering the shoes. I received excellent customer service throughout my customer journey.

The Sparrods team had made sure that the shoes would fit right before shipping the shoes out which I appreciated. The quality of the calfskin leather was soft and quickly streched into the shape of my feet. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident upon inspecting the shoes.

I have nothing but praise for this company and their products. I purchased a pair of "Simba" Oxfords and I couldn't be more please. Firstly, the fit was perfect. As soon as I put them on it felt as if I had been wearing them for years. They are extremely comfortable. Secondly, the quality and craftmanship is impeccable. This is a well crafted shoe. For the past 5 years I’ve been searching for a premium brand of quality shoes that would comfortably fit my high-arched feet.

In an attempt to upgrade from Hush Puppies and Florsheims, I’ve tried out oxfords, derbies, loafers and boots from a number of different brands including Ace Marks, Aquila, Cole Haan, Thursday Boots and Undandy… even going as far as a goodyear welted pair of Loakes.

The main issue with a lot of the brands in this price range are that they typically have a bad combination of unusually stiff leather uppers that never seem to soften up enough for comfort or leather soles that have minimal to no cushioning at all. Going custom made also seems a step too far.

Feeling fed up with paying the price every time by killing my feet with each shoe break-in, I ended up purchasing my first pair of Sparrods dress boots in 2022.

To date, I have purchased 3 pairs: the Kingsman Dress Boots in Espresso (Dark Brown); the Albert Tassel Loafers in Burgundy; and the Oak Oxfords in Black.

There are 3 things that you can expect with every pair of Sparrods shoes:
1) Super comfortable midsole - If you think a dress shoe can’t beat a pair of sneakers for all day comfort, think again. Each pair of my Sparrods shoes have been the most comfortable dress shoes that I’ve worn to date, and they continue to be comfortable after a long day at the office all the way to late night drinks.
2) Quality leather - Each pair of my Sparrods shoes has beautiful and unblemished leather uppers, sturdy enough to keep my feet secure yet supple enough for walking comfort.
3) Craftsmanship - After each out-of-the-box inspection of the shoes, I’ve yet to see a thread that’s out of place or a gap where it shouldn’t be. This is quality control at its best.

But a quality product is not enough these days unless you have a great customer service team to support it.

Can’t fault my experience with the Sparrods team. Clear communication, personalised SMS follow ups, size checks, rapid delivery, and the boots… wow. Will be wearing the Sahara for my wedding in 3 months. I haven’t seen quality like this from an Australian brand for a long time. I own Aquila, RM Williams, Rossi, Florsheim etc and these Sparrods are right up there with the RMs quality wise. S*** all over Aquila tbh. I’m annoyingly picky & particular & I told my partner they were ‘the perfect boot’. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.

Got them for my partner’s birthday. Best service I’ve experienced from any online seller. They emailed me to checked sizing which means I was able to get the perfect size.
Such great quality hand made Chelsea boots. All the connecting parts were seamless and real nails were used on the sole. Leather is smooth, shiny and high quality. Very comfortable inside. The colour chestnut was also extremely rich and sophisticated and suitable for every occasion. Great value for money.

Overall my partner loved it. 10/10 would buy again. Wish they had female boots too.

Not normally motivated to leave reviews, so has to be well well well above average for me to bother. But with a number of failed attempts at getting decent footwear online (experience of trying to get in an actual store - no better) I came across the Sparrods folks and decided to give them a go and ordered the Suede boots. I’ve got to say that I’m just so impressed. The fit is great. The quality is terrific. Really can’t fault them in the slightest. Really comfortable straight out of the box. Boots arrived super quick in just a couple of days and great personalised follow up from the folks at Sparrods. Honestly, these guys will definitively be no.1 on my list for decent shoes or boots next time round.

Bought a pair of the Suede Chelsea Boots and the first pair were too long. The staff at Sparrods were incredibly helpful and helped organise a return and a smaller pair. Tried the smaller pair and they fit perfectly! They are much more comfortable then previous Chelsea boots I’ve had and the quality is amazing.
The support and help from the company has been fantastic! Would recommend their shoes.

Bought a pair of the black low top sneakers - the fit is great & quality is superb.

This is an awesome company with amazing customer service. I purchased a pair of low top sneakers in black. Originally purchased the wrong size (my fault, check with the Sparrods team first.) shoes were quickly replaced. The fit and quality of the shoes is excellent and the packaging is first class which includes a shoe bag and shoe horn.

Was unsure of my exact size, but their customer service was extremely helpful! Responded within no time whatsoever at any hour. Unfortunately I did get my monk shoe size wrong initially, but sending it back was simple, and they exchanged it the same day and I got the perfect size 2 days later. Their shoes are beautifully crafted, and I found them to be the best quality and easiest to get in Australia as opposed to shopping overseas. Will definitely be buying from them again.
