Doubleview IGA

IGA Supermarkets have raised their game in recent years, Doubleview is one of them. It must be more than a decade since I first visited. Having found myself on one of those rare trips to Scarborough Beach, I popped in after a visit to the nearby Chemist.
The general impression of the store is that it's Full. It's so well stocked, your nearly afraid some displays will fall on you.
Soooo much a better variety and range of products than the Big 2. You know who I mean. C and their cousin W.
I was hard pressed to find any gaps on the shelves. But I wasn't there for a full shop, just a snack and something to wash it down.
The Deli was Excellent, with the array of Cheeses and Cold Meats for sandwiches.
The Hot food looked Excellent.
Roast Beef, Lamb and Chickens.
A ready prepared qtr of Chicken, as I discovered later. Was moist, well-cooked and wonderfully seasoned.
To wash it down? IGA excel at different and out of the ordinary soft-drinks. What caught my eye was Jarritos Mexican Cola.
I would say it was pricey at over $4 for a 370ml glass bottle. But you'll pay more than for a glass bottle of Coca-Cola.
And for the record, it was worth it.
What a great taste. It reminded me of the Raw cola used in certain pre-mix Liquor drinks.
So yes. IGA Doubleview is more than worth a visit.

A great store with a large selection of fresh foods, cheeses, deli meats, ready to cook meals, baked goods etc.
It’s clean and centrally located with friendly staff.

Prices expensive but the best fruit and vegies in the area.
Pay for the best is always the key.

Good range of products, fresh foods, frozen, deli, hot foods for lunch, heat at home meals. Convenient location. Easy access, parking can appear limited but bays turn over quickly.

Knocked on the door Thursday jight was greeted by a person named Cameron during what I was told was night fill - whatever that means, I wanted to know if there was prime in store. The staff member started dancing around me in a circle screaming out BASKWANNY I was scared and ran away

Great little supermarket being open early in the weekends is a life saver - not having to line up at 11am elsewhere. Nice fresh food and great friendly staff.

This is a little gem of a super market in Doubleview with everything you could want with a great selection of fresh produce and all the groceries you could want. Their prices are very competitive and yhe staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Can't say enough good thi gs about this IGA.

Massive range of healthy foods - the meat and dairy sections have a great range and they stock black pudding!
Staff are efficient and the deli has really fresh pies..

FREAKING amazing!! What a great set up. Cheeses till ur heart is content. Organic produce. Local produce. All fresh. And pre made salads, pasties, lunches and hot meals. All fresh and ready to go and not expensive for what you get. It was an experience. I only went in for my coconut water lol.

Check out the Japanese takeaway behind the IGA, an absolute gem.

Shop here regularly never disappoints with its fresh produce and great selection, the staff are a very down to earth bunch.

Best roast pork gravy and crackle by far North of river great staff and fresh produce highly recommend.
