High Country Pizzeria & Cafe

Utterly delicious meal. We had several pizzas, a garden salad and the lamb shank. Easily able to add/change ingredients. GF options on request. It is a family run business with a homely vibe. Lynda and her helpers are friendly and efficient. We also previously had afternoon tea of some home made cookies (there are a selection of cakes) which were also yum.

This is a great pizza place! Super generous with the toppings, friendly service, good atmosphere with a view and the fireplace cranking. We love this place! We have only tried the pizzas and the cheesy garlic bread and they're both delicious! Lynda and her kids are all lovely. And it's a special treat when her sons cat follows him to the shop and can be found outside. We love playing with him while we wait, he's the coolest and softest cat.

Pizzas are delicious but my favourite are the creamy garlic prawns and rice omg the best I've ever had highly recommend them 😋

The food is unbelievable!
I've eaten here a bunch of times now and every time I have, I've been amazed by how good the food is!
The menu is extensive and offers anything you could want.
I highly recommend this place and wish I could rate it 6 stars.

Unexpectedly Delightful:

I must admit, I didn't hold high hopes for finding quality dining options or an extensive menu during my first trip to this remote region. Given the town's small size and isolation, I figured it was only natural to expect a pretty standard fare.

However, I was in for a pleasant surprise! Upon arrival, I was greeted by an impressive menu, brimming with mouthwatering dishes. Without further ado, it was time to dive in and feast.

The quality? A solid 5/5. Service? Exceptional at 5/5. Location? Scenic and charming, earning another 5/5. The prices? Entirely reasonable and within an affordable range.

Trust me when I say it's worth every twist and turn of the alpine journey to dine here. It truly is. Just be sure to check if they're open before you make the trip!

Terrific food and great coffee for hungry mountaineers. Angus burger topped with onion rings, seafood pizza, and mushroom bruschetta were all beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients and generous proportions. Friendly service too.

A very delish chicken parmy. Big serve and friendly atmosphere and people. Recommended.
