Brilliant opportunity to see a slice of history restored so well. Try to be there for the tour - not actually a tour, but an informative talk. This was Henry Handel Richardson’s home for a time (but those of us in the know call her HHR). Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to pop to the library for a copy of “The Getting of Wisdom”.

The rooms were open to wander through at your leisure. Heather have a tall about the history of the house and area which was very interesting.

The house was built in 1870 for John and Mary Hancock, storekeepers and now owned by the National Trust of Victoria. It is opened to the public.
