Kelp San Remo

We recently dined at Kelp and were thoroughly impressed. The food was exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavour and very well prepared. The kangaroo loin was perfection and whilst the beef cheek reduction lacked depth, the overall flavours were still very good. The customer service was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. A fantastic dining experience all around. Shout out to the lovely ladies who helped make my partner's birthday special with candles on our plates!

Such a great spot for dinner and cocktails in San Remo! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and so fresh - the prawn tostadas and peach spritz cocktail were the stand outs. The restaurant was busy but the service was on point - couldn’t fault a thing! So nice to see more exciting dining spots popping up on Phillip Island. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here with my partner last Saturday evening 11 May. This is a terrific new restaurant. The food is the best of the ‘Americas’ - think burgers, tacos and ceviche. It’s different and it works! The food was delicious and the service was seamless. The venue itself is really cool, with the thatched roof covering the bar area giving a warm relaxed vibe, even if the weather outside was freezing! This venue is a great modern addition to the area :)

Literally forever the best dining experience of my life!! Food, cocktails, staff, feels… it’s all above and beyond! So grateful to have you guys as our local- Kelp is a place everyone should experience at least once, but stoked we get to on a weekly basis!

Enjoyed this cute place before heading to the penguin parade. Small menu but everything was light and fresh. We enjoyed the scallop special, prawn tostadas, and shrimp tacos. The kelp cup was a refreshing gin cocktail. You’ll probably need a reservation as it is a popular spot in San Remo. Highly recommend.

Great food and Very nice Atmosphere to have dinner. The food and Drinks were great. And very good staff who look after customers.

We stumbled across Kelp on our first stay down in San Remo. What a lucky find! The food was delicious (even our fussy kids ate all their food) the service efficient and friendly and the cocktails on par with anything up in the city cocktail bars. One of the bar staff went above and beyond in making me a lychee martini (not on the drinks menu), looking up the recipe and perfecting it. Would highly recommend this little gem and we look forward to coming back.

Definitely a top choice if you’re looking for a nice sit down place for a meal or just some drinks and a snack. Tacos and slushie cocktails were everything you’d hope for and the fries seemed to have been cut and seasoned with a next level amount of care.

Service was definitely top level as well. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Staff were absolutely lovely.
Vibe was warm and lax.

I haven’t had a better dining experience in bass coast, Kelp is stunning!

Such a vibe on a sunny Saturday arvo, we loved the fresh oysters, kingfish ceviche, wings and crispy skin cod - all prepared and cooked to perfecccction.

Such a well-designed, clean venue with ambiance and an awesome bar. Our meal had sooo much flavour and the staff were down to earth and super friendly.

You won’t regret making time for dinner here 😍

We ordered the fish tacos which were excellent. Fresh battered fish with herbs and sauce was amazing. Also ordered quinoa salad which was super tasty and fresh. Also ordered chips with aioli. Super crispy and delicious. Finally the churros for dessert were amazing. All portions were very generous and delicious. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back again and again.

Strong dish well worth asking about it , it was fantastic, crispy skin , tender flaky fillets and a great garnish, one of my favourites.

Had an amazing meal here on Friday night, the Kangaroo, King Fish Ceviche and tacos (Especially the cauliflower) were amazing. Extremely friendly service, plus knew who ordered what when bring the meals out.
Also the Chilli Margarita was on point as I had 3…..

We cannot thank Google Review enough for attracting our family of 5 to this little gem of food heaven tonight by their unbelievable 4.9 star score 😁 This is legit a great cafè with seriously delicious food & beverage 😋👍

We ordered 3 kids meals (2x cheese burgers & fish n chips), 2 entries (guacamole & corn on cobs), 2 mains (fish taco & tofu burger), 3 softdrinks and 3 cocktails in total. EVERYTHING was yuuuuuuuumm!! My 2 favourites were the corn (soooo cheesy!) and kids burger 🍔 haha Even kids fish n chips tasted incredibly fresh!

The food and service was amazing! It was a little loud out the back, but that was due to other diners, not the fault of the restaurant. Must try the Bowls and Tacos!!! So delicious!
