Wow.. this place was an unexpected surprise. On the island for the weekend and needed to kill time in a comfortable place with great food. Food surpassed expectations, one of the best avocado smashes in the state, great coffee, perfect toasties and great service. Oh the bread, great bread. Food cooked with love is a special treat. Like I said, wow

Near to the bridge with nice viwes. The place has a limited selection of food but their meals are very good and keep the customer satisfied. The staff members are very helpful and willing to go out of their way to assist you. One of the best cofee I tried.

If you visit on the weekends there might be a bit of a wait as the place is small.

Lots of nice tastes and textures in this delicious and healthy vegan meal! Especially loved the sticky mushrooms, crispy fried tofu and fried chickpeas. Friendly, quick service.

I had the breakfast burger and it was perfect. All the flavours were balanced and had beautiful texture, aroma, mouthfeel and most importantly taste. The caramelised onion on the milk bun with the perfectly cooked eggs and wonderfully fresh greens really hit the spot. Anza is the perfect host who is passionate about everything in his Cafe. Will come again. Thank you 👍✨🦋

Our breakfast spot 3 days straight - lovely people, great service and excellent coffee. The poached eggs on toast and the toasted breakfast roll were both superb. We did the take-away thing the third day, and they were super quick with our coffees and food.

Called in for coffee and snacks before heading back home. Service was excellent as was the coffee. Reasonable selection of food available, muffins were excellent (so I bought another to take away). Glad we decided to call in rather than just get take away coffees. We are from Geelong where there is a huge selection of good cafes but can honestly say if we lived near San Remo we would soon become regulars here.

Recently visited with 7 adults and 4 children under 3. We were happily catered for and all received delicious meals. However it was the customer service that really made the visit, I had my baby with us and had to duck out to soothe him for 10mins, on my return I found the rest of the table nearly finished their meals, and mine nowhere to be seen. The staff had seen me leave, and had delayed my order so that I could have a hot meal, which I arrived within moments of me sitting down, they also offered to remake my coffee so it was warm. It was such a small gesture but it made this exhausted parents day. And it was one of the best burgers I've eaten in a long time.

Porters is the most welcoming Café with healthy foods that are delicious. We are always greeted with a smile and great service. The best coffee around Victoria. Thank you Andrea and family for supporting all of us not just some of us. <3

Aaron & Joel, dubbed the Dynamic Duo from the kitchen put together some rather tasty Poké bowls for us. We had the Garden (made vegan with the tofu) and the Sticky Mushroom. Both were sensational in flavour and presentation, and bursting with umami. The soy latte was peppery and had hints of berry and was well received. It was perfectly barristerd. We stopped here for a quick lunch stop on our way to Philip island; a 2 hour drive from Melbournes north and we would highly recommend this place. Staff and food and coffees are top notch. And a big thanks to the cashier who took our orders and made the appropriate vegan suggestions for us to try. Much appreciated indeed.

Porter Republic has great ambience, excellent coffee and a lovely sea view from San Remo. So far the food I've had has been presented like a work of art - very pleasing to the eye and certainly yummy for the tummy. One of my favourites is the Buddha bowl - wholesome and colourful. Today I had the mushroom special (pictured) which was great and also pictured is the scrumptious lumberjack cake.

Aaron the owner greeted us at the door and informed us of whats on offer. We ordered a and meals came out in a great time. My 4 year old very much enjoyed sharing both our meals.

Had a good coffee, chai latte and milkshake to take away from here. The staff were under the pump but still relaxed and friendly. The food looked good so we will have to go back to test it out!

A fantastic healthy option for lunch or breakfast. A delicious selection of savoury, sweet or make your own poke bowls. The lime poached chicken was so good. The coffee was great too as was the virgin coffee martini.
