This gem is located just off the main road and yet is really quiet and peaceful. The hosts are friendly and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The showers and toilets are also spotless! Make sure you explore the boardwalk. I’ll be back!

Had a great afternoon on the “Bush tucker and medicine” walk and talk with owner Mike. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Great experience and highly recommend.
Local produce and teas to try at the end was a great finishing touch too!

Thank you guys!

Great location back from the main drag and very clean amenities, the owners have put a lot of effort into making this a good place to set up camp. Reasonably priced and friendly staff, as it was a quiet weeknight and had paid for an unpowered site we were able to pick pretty much wherever we wanted to camp. Highly recommend.

Mike and Michi were great hosts and always available for assistance. The boardwalk thru the forest was a treat, as were the amenities that were in fantastic condition and close by.

Agnes Waters is a few minutes' drive and easy to get to. The main road is close to the camp site, but we heard no road traffic at night.

The unpowered site we used was level and had a fair bit of grass. The ground was also hard enough to use screw in tent pegs even after a good amount of rain. Word of warning... sand flies, say no more. Be prepared for some ankle biters :) We didn't cover up and so paid the price.

Loved this quiet tranquil spot and will definitely use it again for our short weekend trips to Agnes.

Well maintained camp ground. Friendly staff, new and clean amenities. Plenty of sites powered and non powered. Lots of birds around and a nice board walk through the bush down the back.

*** Mining Industry folks, check this place out. If you want to take the ute somewhere for your RnR for a camp, fish, and relaxing time out, this is a champion spot.

Great spot, excellent value, friendly service, safe, comfortable place to pull up and camp when in the area. Hosts provide clean amenities and interesting activities for those who want to get to know the place. Sometimes the "yoof" get a little rowdy on weekends around their firepits (provided with wood for a laughable fee 👍) but will calm down if asked politely 😆. All in all, a wonderful little treasure if you were weary, dusty and saddlesore after retuning from five days out west.

Unfortunately my husband and I's stay got cut very short, due to an unpredicted storm which destroyed some of our camping equipment... however, Mike and Miche were quick to assist us in moving our remaining gear under a nearby shelter on the grounds. It was really disappointing that we couldn't stay for the remaining nights, as the campsite is a lovely spot and amenities are really well maintained!

Thank-you Mike and Miche for being such fabulous hosts! We highly recommend this spot to all travelling to the Agnes/1770 area! My husband and I are eagerly awaiting our new trip up, so we can stay here again.

Wonderful campground. So spacious, in a gorgeous setting and we woke up to amazing birdlife. You can tell that the owners have a genuine passion for the place as they've created a top site that makes you feel like you're miles out of town, but you have the convenience of being just up the road.
Thanks guys, we loved our stay!

Mike and Miche have done a very good job making this beautiful spot worth visiting 👍 With powered sites and nice and clean bath and toilets and very kind and helpful owners, we did not miss anything. We made a wrong booking and arrived a day too late, but there was no problem, they just let us stay another day. The nature is close, there are many different birds and even a wild kangaroo family, you can see if you are lucky. There is a boardwalk into the bush, don’t miss Mike’s Bushwalk tours, it is very interesting, he knows a lot about aboriginal nature medicine and traditions. Our best recommendation for a peaceful spot to rest 🙏

This place is a little piece of paradise. We easily got our 22ft van into a quiet bush spot away from other campers. Nice hot showers and clean toilets and Mike and Michi are so welcoming and all round great people. Nice to be on such a great bush setting with space between us and other campers.

$30 per couple, per night for a non-powered site. $50 powered. Plenty of room for all sleeping styles. Under 20klms to 1770 so well worth not paying to be in the town itself.

Great off grid location for camping. Toilets are in great condition, you can plug your devices as well. Mosquitoes will eat you alive if you dont bring repelent. Also, kangaroos might walking in, as well as bugs and frogs.
Highly recommended!

We loved our week camping here. Kangaroos visited once. There is a bit of road noise but its quiet overnight. We camped in the far field. If we had been more concerned about road noise we would have camped further back from the road. There is a nice 40min walk on the property. Amenities are new but basic, but has all you need. Might be difficult getting a shower or using the camp kitchen sink when busy.

Camped in my small RV. So close to Agnes Waters without all the hustle. So peaceful and with lovely clean amenities and helpful, friendly owners who care about the environment and offer bush info sessions.
I'll be back. Janettee

Travellers rest 1770 was brilliant. The bush retreat was so peaceful. The bird life amazing. Great amenity block, mike and Miki extremely helpful. The bush tucker walk was informative and well worth the experience. Highly recommend other campers to go there.

A great place to camp up. Yes, it’s out of town(8ks)but it’s quiet and very peaceful, really who needs noise and lights.

Fantastic owners Mikki and Mike, slide shows, new ammenities, oodles of room with bush camping. Walking paths around dam and beyond.

Limited power sites, no water(but they deliver) and no lights after 9? Great for stargazing.

We will be back next year as the area is a must.

We've camped at travellers rest a couple of times when we're passing through 1770.

Very beautiful camp grounds where you will find your own secluded spot. Good facilities and lovely owners!
