Mackey VC Rest Area

Facilities are somewhat sparse, but adequate for the intended purpose of being a rest stop. A safe place to pull off from the road, with both covered and uncovered benches and tables. Toilet facilities are, well, utilitarian, and are of the composting, long-drop type. It's best not to look too closely into the inner workings. My visit was on a cool winter's morning, so the smell was not too noticeable. Adequate supplies of toilet paper are provided. A wash basin with clean water is located nearby, but soap is BYO.

Pretty busy another just down road a bit quieter

Small Rest stop along the home motorway just out of goulburn. It has a couple of sheltered picnic tables and has toilets. The toilets are not flush toilets so beware the smell is horrendous especially on a hot day.

The is 4g internet and strong mobile phone service at this rest area

Great spot to sleep. It’s remote and safe, there are drop toilets. And the best thing for me was: there are cows 100m from the parking spaces. They’re a bit shy but still cute.
